Seems to me that the Belgiums are actually pretty accurate in their counting, and this is the main reason they score so high.

Netherlands only reports an amount of people dying of Corona which contributes for half or even less than the amount of people dying above what would be expected normally based on average and trends of weeks before Corona. (soft winter means less death for example), Belgiums count of Corona runs almost equal to the amount of people dying above what should be expected.
How about something reliable to back that up?

Enjoy the language:

And since I can fully back my post up, have a groan in return since you seem to enjoy handing them out for no content related reason at all.

Well, if I were a virus looking for a place to settle down, I wouldn't choose a host who'd ingested, inhaled or injected Sauerkraut! If I were that virus, I think I'd rather die.

The backbone of some cuisines, why, I'm hurt, doropfiz.

Jokes aside, there seems to be a correlation between probiotics and resistance against corona virus/viruses/bacterias.

Agree.

Re: Coronavirus

Is there now a 2 meter gap between tables or guests? This is a major difference. A chair with a guest needs at least 70 cm. If guests are sitting back to back (which is normal), tables should be about 3.40 apart so that the people are 2 meters apart. In normal times about 1.40 meters so that guests can sit at their table. 2 meters table distance is not a big change but there is not 2 meters between the guests, but only about 60 cm. If there is a distance of 2 meters between the guests, the table distances must be about 3.40 meters.

And its up to the guest whether he provides his name and tel number. Not obliged to give it

Re: Coronavirus

Dithering, hopeless UK government look set to announce a 14 day quarantine tomorrow for all arrivals other than from the Republic of Ireland. With the highest number of deaths in Europe it makes one wonder why now and who do they think they’re protecting themselves from?! Utter shambles!

I used to bristle at the notion of UK exceptionalism, now I’m not so sure

For fans of the Swedish strategy, deaths per million have just overtaken the Netherlands.
Sigh, once again “fans” of the Swedish strategy don’t see it the best method to avoid deaths rather the best method trade-off corinavirus deaths against keeping the economy moving, personal liberties and deaths caused by the lockdown.

I also think Switzerland done a fairly good job of managing the lockdown.

I know, which is why I asked him for the source.

I only know about Neuchâtel and not so much about the younger kids. It is only primary that is going back on Monday and only half classes (four days with Wednesday off) and a maximum of 12 (I think) per class.
I haven’t spoken with my neighbour since Wednesday but they were having a meeting with the school head yesterday to discuss all the details.
Indeed, but at least in the German side of CH kids don't have to go to school if they're in a risk group or their parents are in a risk group. Everyone is promoted in the next year anyway, so it's up to us parents to decide what to do next.

I think the Swiss got so many things right. OH doesn't have to go to work, he can keep working from home as long as he sees fit. He doesn't have to provide medical certificates or whatever.

He's working so many extra-hours like usual anyways, so it doesn't matter if he's doing that from home or from the company.

I thought it was supposed to be the perineum?
I can see where there may be confusion for some people though.

That is true here too. In fact they are encouraging families with vulnerable members (kids or parents) to keep all the kids at home until the end of the school year.

In Vaud as well. And all tests and marks stopped on 13th March.

Primary kids go to school every other day until the 25th May, and one week more at least for secondary kids. Which means we’ll teach to half classes.

How I’ll manage to keep teenagers motivated for 7 weeks when there are no tests and 99% of them are assured to pass the year is Somewhat beyond me, but hey

Re: Coronavirus

Based on
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
it appears the number of people who have died from Covid-19 in Switzerland is 211 per million or 0.211%.

Is this correct?

edit- I actually think this is 0.000211%

0.0211% if we say we're still 8'000'000 people here.
