Yes, it's a clever trap. So you believe in taking precautions against catching the coronavirus. But only to an extent. You don't believe in taking all precautions, especially the one shown to work best.

That doesn't really seem very logical.
I presume you're talking about lockdown?
If that is the case, then yes, that is my position.
No lockdown, wash hands, distance, masks where appropriate, shield the elderly, vulnerable, hospitals patients etc.

Given the latest Swiss infection figures, I guess in a few days it won't make any difference.
So Switzerland has 60/100,000 and the UK has 20/100,000 as their Quarantine List border. It seems the UK government want the air industry to collapse and everyone to spend their money locally.

Oooh, I've seen better. My nephew's high school is requiring all athletes to wear masks even while playing active sports like basketball or running cross country.

Let's hope not. Was hoping to travel in a month's time back to the UK. Does anyone know how quarantine applies if you go back for a few days?
On the other thread about who can travel where, someone posted a link a while back. Unless the rules have changed (totally possible), if you go back for a few days, you have to isolate for those few days but you are allowed to leave again. In other words, you don't have to stay two weeks.

Yes, my 10 day quarantine after returning to CH ends today at midnight

This is the up-to-date list of countries deemed as high-risk and people coming from there should do 10 day quarantine. https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home...nreisende.html

Does the UK also requires 10 day quarantine?

For those flying from Basel, is this considered as France or Switzerland??
Depends on which immigration queue you go through.

They are obviously overcompensating due to the attacks they had to endure in response to their perceived “slow response” earlier this year. Instead of proving now that the so-called leaders can react with reason, they react with even less of it and instead more irrationality.

Meanwhile, interestingly, there was barely mention (in some cases none at all) in non-UK press about the fact that their death toll was reduced by 5000 yesterday. So much for “objective, neutral, fair” reporting.

At least Swiss officials were transparent enough to admit that they simply don’t know and are therefore testing what works and what doesn’t. That’s the only acceptable, non-hysterical, measured and honest response I have heard from any country so far.

Not the same metrics for cumulative incidence: Switzerland has 60/100,000 over a 14-day period; UK has 20/100,000 over 7 days.

Only returning do you have a choice, Easy Jet check in is in Switzerland, therefore you leave in Switzerland.

Breaking News-A young man in the age group between 20 and 29 died of the corona virus, the federal government confirmed on Friday.

The canton of Bern has now announced that this is a false report. A form was filled out incorrectly.

Apparently there's 500,000 tourists due to return from France in the next two weeks. Good luck policing that quarantine
it's virtually unenforceable and reliant on the obedience of those returning.
I don't know what all these British tourists are worried about as all they have to do is spend 14 days wearing
a Dominic Cummings face mask, whenever they want to get out and about during lockdown or quarantine.

Re: Coronavirus

I was thinking: In the UK I have a circle of at least 500 people that I constantly have some interaction via the internet and directly...at the same time these people have them circle that have on average the same 500 connection via internet or directly...if multiply, my horizon from where I can research for an answer will be 250000 people...I did ask these 500 people to look in their own circles if any of the people they know were tested positive for the virus...guess what in this horizon of 250000 people the only suspected was my wife...yes my wife reflux was diagnosed first as coronavirus and after careful consultation by the specialist doctor was diagnosed as acid reflux...reflux that was triggered by using aspirin...my wife used because was panicked as I come from work sweaty passing on the bike very polluted area of London and start coughing...even if the specialist doctor confirmed that was a mistake the coronavirus diagnoses, in the register she remained as positive...
