They appear to be following their set strategy which I find reassuring. Comparing the Swiss response to the UK's response (currently with 51 confirmed cases), I'm relieved to be here.

The limits on crowd sizes, home working policies, cancellation of all football matches, pdf of policy and strategy in the public domain so that anyone can see where they're at and what the next steps would be. It's very formulaic, but open and reassuring.

Apparently the Swiss govít (not sure if itís Bag or something else) posted on twitter that the corona virus test will be paid by compulsory insurance. And the cost of the test is chf 180.

As from March 4th was what I saw.

Here’s the link to it ( in French but it can be changed to german or Italian)

The document is in this link https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home...demieplan.html

What are your concerns specifically? Is it more than frontaliers?

Nor if it's not corona does it mean it isn't serious.
This. Sometimes one has to be more proactive, call the doctor more times, have them run different tests.

Now it's a weird situation because one is recommended to call instead of running to the doctor, and talking might not do the job.

Reread post#1407.

Plus, I was under the impression that Edwin was an epidemiologist. I'm sure he knows what's best.
LOL, no I'm not an epidemiologist. We've seen who had to see, we have been tested they found something, so all is o.k. we're just ill, not the end of the world and our kid picks up colds, flu's etc up pretty easy since he lacks something in his blood, so we're used to it.

If they found a virus that 100% fits our profile is pretty harmless and that should not be there, what more should we want?

Re: Coronavirus

Stores were well-stocked today and people were treating the virus as a minor inconvenience. I rather enjoyed that attitude since there ain't a lot more we can do to stop it than what we've been doing already.

It is only a few durable and/or hygienic things that might be sold out, on the fresh department you'll nothing of all of this.

Re: Coronavirus

My only concern for the moment is that I'm travelling this weekend and I'm hoping the planes are still flying (there and back again).

Around work there was a slump in morale for a few days but it's all back up again with people jokingly bumping elbows as a greeting, we never really shook hands so there's now more contact than before!

It was really a ghostly eerie feeling walking in Zurich central around 11 am. The streets were really empty.:eek :

Should be. Shelves aren't as cleared as they were Saturday. Still can't find any dried yeast.

My mates who emigrated to Perth, Australia, posted photos of the completely empty shelves in their local supermarket today. The wife has rationed the toilet roll at home with her, her husband and their daughter having one roll each with their names written on them, and any visitors have to bring their own I know she's joking now, but give her a couple of days...
