Aussie Physiotherapist moving to Switzerland

Hi,

I'm a dual qualified Australian Physiotherapist + Exercise Physiologist. I have already submitted an application to the SRK and will be sitting the B2 German exam in April. I am ideally looking for work in the hospital/rehab setting and am hopeful that I will be given the Swiss accreditation.

I was wondering if there are any other Aussie Physio's who have moved to Switzerland? Did you have to sit any additional exams or did the SRK provide you with accreditation based on your qualifications?

Is there any advice that you can give me when applying and looking for jobs?

Are there any other expat physios who are working in the Swiss Hospital Setting? Are there rotational positions offered in the acute care setting? So far I have only found listings for specific areas within a hospital. I would love a rotational position to start with if something like that is offered in Switzerland.

How are you finding your experience, the salary, the team environment?

Any advice, shared experiences/insight would be much appreciated!

Thank you so much!

Sophie

It's probably worth joining the Aussies and Kiwis Facebook group, I seem to remember a post about Aussie nurses and accreditation.

Welcome to the Forum. Your profile says you're both Aussie and German. Be sure to mention you're an EU citizen when you apply, as it means employers don't have to go through the non-EU hiring process.
