Dental insurance

Is there such a thing as dental insurance in Switzerland?

A comprehensive one, covering potential root canals, implants, etc. etc.

Thank you very much.

Yes there is, but inform yourself about the costs and what they actually cover and up to what amounts.

I would recommend driving across the border for serious treatments and not taking such extra insurance.

If you have any existing problem with your teeth or even past problems they probably wont insure you. One has to get such insurances at birth

Check first with the company that provides you with your basic health insurance. They will offer a variety of supplemental policies, including dental. And each of those will have a variety of coverage (and costs).

Once you have an idea of the cost/benefits you can use a comparison site like comparis.ch to find out what other companies are offering.

They probably will exclude the existing problem, or will require you to get it fixed before they will cover that.
