Followed by "Schulgemeinde", the weekly meeting of the entire school at which you could discuss anything but the food and the smoking ban . The food is not a problem there anymore now.
The school closed?

Just bought a new winter home on 19th March, 6 timed the size of our studio with a 400m2 garden. Really enjoying being at home with my wife, shame we can't go ski touring.
Congrats on your new place!

Can we visit? When this madness's is over. We will wear a mask, I promise.

From your posts in the past, you always seemed against buying property and were always advising people not to do it!
As an investment, Tom.
Of course there are other very valid reasons.

Oh God, you sound so smug.

I promised myself we'll buy a holiday home too after this shit.

We should have been like many others here and bought a 13 room house in the middle of nowhere in Glarus or Aargau.

Then I could have been smug too and banged on about my multiple properties on EF. We have friends that bought holiday apartments in Spain, I wonder how that plays out now...

On a different note - congrats on your new home, hope you'll enjoy it! I'm glad for you, just a bit frustrated we didn't make this move ourselves.

Re: Being cooped up with children

How old are the kids?

What I have is a time schedule for them in the week, it starts with them getting their own breakfast and watching a bit of Milkshake on Channel 5 (start at 7.00 am our time)

Then another breakfast with us, followed by an hour "office time" when they work in their room.

I then take them out for an hour or more walking or cycling (here we have access to forests, fields and other areas where you hardly meet any one else)

Lunch and then ...

Quiet time - 1 hour in their room..

The rest of the afternoon is playing for them with a snack break.

30 mins of watching

Dinner

Story time and bed

Repeat each day til who knows when..

Ages 6 and 4

I have also taken to buying second hand lego sets on Ricardo, cheap ones.. so the kids look forwards to post arriving. I have also been getting them to write letters and post them to relatives. Puzzles are being used a lot these days too.

And if you need a virtual holiday, look at old photos or photo albums.

Love how you structured it for others to see
The letter writing to relatives is awesome too, we do it as well.

Nothing in the link about a problem several people I know have complained about: having put on weight.

That was only at the beginning. For the past days my weight is successively coming down, heading back to normal.

Ventured outdoors for the first time in 16 days. Are there bizarre things going on outside, or is it just me?
