There you go, feel free to add details, so that those of us feeling quite content with no kids around can feel even more smug...

It's tough indeed. I'm fairly sure my hours have increased and I'm now working 36/9... as for home schooling... give me 30 stroppy teenagers and some Shakespeare instead...

I feel pretty smug because of my kids, tbh.

Or indeed those of us who are feeling quite content with two kids and one spouse at home.

On the one hand, they are driving me crazy. On the other hand, I think once this thing is over. We will miss this time when we are all together the whole day... day after day, with no respite

Just bought a new winter home on 19th March, 6 timed the size of our studio with a 400m2 garden. Really enjoying being at home with my wife, shame we can't go ski touring.

Or one kid and no spouse.

I am really content for having the time for eachother now, it was as usually a marathon before.

OP - having a lot of contact and news via internet with others, I am really glad you posted this for other people. Did you try to arrange a bit of alone time for everyone, too? Arrange online meetups for kids to not only expect entertainment and assurance from you, your hb to offload to his buddies, etc. Reserve a time capsule just for yourself..meditate, start learning something new and make everyone respect your little time off, make a recapitulation of what was before and figure out strategies on how you want things to continue for you..there are phone/online therapists and couches, some free I can imagine, to process with you all the stress, anxiety, etc.

After all, we are living similar situation as astronauts do in some ways. There is a special psych aid for astronauts. And they aren't there with family and potential issues..

Folks, if you feel like writing here helps, let's.

But are you dealing with upwards of 150 kids a day, differentiating, planning, marking, giving effective feedback and defending your kids' progress to a stranger? And working through break and lunch?

Mind you, teachers do have those short, short days and loooonnng holidays...

Ex-submarine officer husband seems to be dealing well.

I'm a home bird introvert surrounded by my family and all the books, yarn and gin a girl could want. I've been in training for this for years...

Re: Being cooped up with children

In French- a terrified mum is hiding under a cloth under the table - and talking to the kid's teachers - saying THANK YOU for the job they do, day in, day out and that she will not ever complain when the teachers send notes about the kid's bad behaviour, etc - hilarious

Amazing parents allow their kids to run riot & can't control them. Perhaps social services need to take over !

I’m enjoying home schooling my daughters.

Only two students have been suspended for fighting.

And, one teacher fired for drinking at work.

Which brand of megaphone did you decide to buy?

Can now finally confirm, that with 26 years old, my daughter does actually have fun without drugs, alcohol or sex (she‘s in a Skype Corona party currently) and our walls are thin.

Don‘t give-up hope or belief all parents out there!
