Monthly Government Child payments in Vaud?

Hi does anyone know how much you get from the government for each child if we were living in Vaud? I found a website that showed the info, but it was quite old - 2017 and I was wondering if anyone knows the current amount?

We have 4 kids - 6, 8, 11 and 13 and are currently exploring the possiblity of moving back to Switzerland from Australia/NZ and trying to work out our proposed living costs etc. for the move.

Thanks!

Re: Monthly Government Child payments in Vaud?

These are called "Allocations Familiales"

They are currently 300 CHF per child under 16 and it is a taxable amount.

There is also bound to be other support with after school care etc if you fall below a certain income threshold.

Its CHF 300 for the first 2 and CHF 380 for the eldest 2. So a total of CHF 1360 per month.

The child subsidy is added to gross salary and all the taxes and contributions apply, including increasing the progressive tax bracket for the rest of one's salary.

There is also a sliding scale health insurance subsidy so that the obligatory health insurance premiums do not exceed one's "revenu déterminant":
https://www.vd.ch/themes/sante-soins...rance-maladie/

There is also a specific to Vaud, cantonal subsidy for low income family:

Just for your information. Things change very slowly in Switzerland and inflation has been around 0 (give or take) for two decades. If you see a monetary amount on an old website it is most likely still correct or at least a very good ball park figure. The odd exceptions are basic health insurance premiums which steadily rise every year and real estate prices.

In my understanding, family allowance isn’t subject to AVS déductions. (I live in GVA)

And, at least in my employment; it’s excluded from representation allowance and calculations for pension contributions.

You live in Geneva, if I understand GVA correctly. I know Fribourg and Vaud are very different in many ways regarding taxes and subventions so I wouldn’t assume GE and VD are the same ...
