Physiotherapist for pregnancy around Zurich or Adliswil?

I'm 20 weeks pregnancy, and I have been suffering for the low back pain for more than one month, it seems become worst.
Do anyone know a good and english speaking physiotherapist around Zurich or Adliswil?

Physiotherapy Anett is nice - she is a lovely person... and she does speak English although it may not be 'perfect'.

Hello Swisspea,
How many sessions did you require for the therapy and gow long are the sessions? Could you please share approximate information for the prices per session.l? I have basic insurance and it would be useful to me to get an idea of the costs incurred.

Hello Helen,
I hope you are feeling better. Did you start with the physiotherapy? I am also around 20 weeks pregnant suffering from lower back pain.

Re: Physiotherapist for pregnancy around Zurich or Adliswil?

I would suggest speaking your obstetrician or local doctor first. What is covered depends on your condition/diagnosis and also on the type of insurance you have.

For me, it was not directly pregnancy related (well, not directly, although some weakness from having separated stomach muscles during pregnancy a long time ago now..) But my 'hausartzt' was able to refer me for a set number of treatments, based on diagnosis, and some of the cost was covered by the insurance.

I can also highly recommend stick-on, self-heating heat pads. Check if they are OK for pregnancy. Something like this:

The pharmacist will be able to tell you if they are OK for pregnancy.

Re: Physiotherapist for pregnancy around Zurich or Adliswil?

A couple of pieces of information that might be useful.

For a physio to be paid for via LaMal, your doctor must give you a prescription for the physio. Normally they will ok you for a max of 9 sessions before having another check up with you. As always, you need to use up your deductible before your insurance company will pay the 90% (you have the 10% co-pay for the first CHF 750). You will also pay the visit to the doctor.

You can also go directly to a chiropractor who will be covered by LaMal. Same issue about the deductible. No limit on the number of visits. You can not go to an osteopath and have it covered by LaMal. Only complementary plans cover them.

Hi, I also have the exact issue/question! I already have the prescription from my OB. Anyone have a practitioner in Zurich they recommend?

I can highly recommend https://www.physio-heiniger.ch/ in OERLIKON. I attended for a severe shoulder dislocation and they were wonderful. They also speak English if you ask.
