Actually I've checked that link before I post here, I must have over looked the paragraph where they say it is possible to do it at the Cantonal hospital without a doctor's note.

Re: On Request COVID Test

I'm not sure what part of CH you're in, but I see that you can book a test through here (including if it's for a trip -- or so the website says):

https://coronatest.uzh.ch/en/

I think many (perhaps even most) hospitals in CH have a similar system to that one, now... where you can schedule a test through their website.

Hi,

In "French Part of CH" I know that there is a test lab in Boudry (NE) which I believe takes walk ins.

www.etilab.ch

All the best.

Re: On Request COVID Test

I was at Unilabs in Coppet yesterday. There was a sign that said they would do a Covid (both types) test for Swiss residents with insurance provided they had a doctor’s note.

They also had a sign at the front (revolving) door prohibiting anyone with Covid Symptoms from entering their building.

Yes, half of our village went there to get tested following a residents meeting after it was later discovered a couple of people had Covid.
They got the results within 24 hours and over half of the attendees had been infected.

This was the week before last, they may have changed their walk in policy since then.

What percentage had any symptoms 20% ?
We are getting to the point where perfectly healthy people are told they are ill, yet ill people are not being treated,
Since 80% generally have no symptoms, perhaps 65% of positive taste are false positives, hardly an unreasonable assumption, unless you can show otherwise?

I normally agree with you on most matters but that is certainly not a reasonable assumption. A positive finding for a genuinely asymptotic carrier is not a false positive.

About 30% of tests are now positives. If 65% of these were false, around 20% of all tests done would be false positives.

But only a few weeks ago we were seeing positivity in the single figures. That is not consistent with a test that gives such a high numbers of false positives.

Re: On Request COVID Test

You need a doctors note to get a free covid check. Does anyone know if you have to pay for that doctors note and if so how much to expect to be charged

Try Unilabs, but I think you need a Dr’s prescription.
