Are any of these centers providing PCR test results quickly right now? Media reports seem to indicate there's a backlog of tests to be processed, and even people who have symptoms are waiting days for results. .
Seems a number of countries are asking for negative PCR tests, not just rapid antigen tests, and they want them no older than 72 hours. That could be a tall order if the processing is backed up. |

| | COVID Test Certifiate?
I'm due to travel in a week, and need to get a "COVID test certificate within 72 hours of landing"...
Any ideas if a "normal" covid test does this? The only time I did a covid test, I just got a phone call telling me I was negative... nothing else.

Bern has a page where you can search for providers that are doing the test: https://www.gef.be.ch/gef/de/index/C...anker-anchor-5
Perhaps other cantons have similar sites?
The unfortunate thing is that if you're traveling for leisure this adds quite a bit to the cost.

For those near Dübendorf ZH, there is a drive-through test center. Details here https://www.balgrist.ch/en/corona-testcenter/
I know someone who was there last week, process took about 15min start to end. He got the result (negative) about 2hrs later by SMS.

Any up to date information on where i can get quick test in the Zurich area for travel.
I have a 15hrs flight and destination country require negative test result 72hrs before boarding. Most test centres i have seen in ZH get a test result 24-48hrs.
Anywhere i can do a test and get result just 4 hours later? | | | | | Does anyone know if the test results have to be 72 hours before boarding the plane or 72 hours before landing in the destination country? Makes a difference! Traveling to the US soon and can’t seem to find anything specific on that point. Also do the test results need to be translated if they are in German? Many thanks!

Many thanks! | | | | | I guess that probably depends on what country you'll be arriving in and what their requirements are, but I did find the following in regard to landing in the US from a foreign country, on the CDC's website, on a page there titled "Testing and International Air Travel" which seems to have some helpful info: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...ir-travel.html "Get Tested Before Your Flight
Below is what you need to know about getting tested before your international flight.
Get tested with a viral test 1-3 days before you depart and again 1-3 days before you return.
Make sure you get your test results before you travel. If you are waiting for results, delay your travel.
Do not travel if your test result is positive; immediately isolate yourself, and follow public health recommendations.
A negative test does not mean that you were not exposed or that you will not develop COVID-19. Make sure to wear a mask, stay at least 6 feet from others, wash your hands, and watch your health for signs of illness while traveling.
Keep a copy of your test results with you during travel. You may be asked for them." | The following 2 users would like to thank Pancakes for this useful post: | |

Are the US allowing anyone in now? If not you probably don't need a test to enter, just to be a citizen, resident or have some other exemption.

Just saw this on the state of Massachusetts Travel Order website:
“72-hour Testing Rule: The individual can produce, upon request, proof of a negative test result for COVID-19 from a test administered on a sample taken no longer than 72 hours before your arrival in Massachusetts.” https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order
Thanks a lot for your help!

I can highly recommend the Medix Altstetten praxis for the PCR test: I could book my time schedule online, got tested within minutes of my arrival and received my response by email less than 24 hours from the time of the test (I went early morning and received results after 23 hours or so). Very impressive!
The certificate I received by email was in German, but I did not enquire if it would have been possible to receive it in other languages.

If you are flying from Zurich, you can get it at the airport. https://www.flughafen-zuerich.ch/en/...al-information
PCR is available at the Airport Medical Center
(Reservation required)
