Hey!

Anyone has used that site to store their —or their children's—vaccination records?

I really don't know if we should use that or it's just risky and fishy and no one is using it.

Aren't vaccination records stored by your doctor/paediatrician?

If you have them done there or if you tell them that you had them.

It seems like a very good idea but it really depends if your Dr. has agreed to use it.

On data protection they say they will use your data anonymously but they don’t say anything about selling or giving your data to third parties.

I use it for my own vaccinations. In my view the big benefit is that you receive notifications when another vaccination or refresh is overdue.

I have a little yellow book, works for me.

I also have a little yellow book (actually several) but it does not send me a reminder when I need to get a booster shot.

I talked to my son's doctor today and actually they recommended it. They told me that they can open an account for me and send me the link with all the info already inside.

They told me that in general the app is handy and that you can even print the certificate yourself if needed.

We use that for our son, in part because his doctor's office does not inform us when he is due for a vaccination (which I find to be a bit odd). Even the vaccination record books they give out don't really tell you when each vaccine is due or even properly describe what each vaccine is for that matter.

I also talked to our pediatrician about the calendar and when to put vaccines. Mainly because we have a bit of mess since we just arrived from Finland with a <1yo… and vaccines doesn't match a lot.

They told me that in the end the goal is to get the immunity and it can be reached with different strategies and calendars and even mixing them up.

But yeah… the reminders are great
