| | Eczema cream?
I have never truly had Eczema in my life but my forearm has been scratchy for the last few weeks, maybe months (gym matt cleaning liquids?).
Last few days it has become red and slightly bumpy, 4 x 3 inch patch. I stopped scratching but boy it is burning and angry!
I hear this "Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Hand Unscented Lotion" is a good cream but I went to coop and I could not find any? Any other cream that forum experts can recommend?
Btw parfumcity.ch, a legit website?
Edit- Eczema

Bepanthen sensiderm is the way to go, found OTC at any pharmacy. It’s the last step before a few days of cortisone cream, but you need a prescription for that.

A relative had that earlier this year- and, sorry to say, she tested positive for
Covid. Perhaps ask advice from your doctor.

Google it https://covid.joinzoe.com/us-post/skin-rash-covid
sorry to say- might not be, but if you've never had eczema- perhaps worth asking for advice.

It’s the last step before a few days of cortisone cream, but you need a prescription for that. | | | | | Not really, two OTC cream are Dermacalm-D and Sanadermil Hydrocrème https://compendium.ch/product/29586-dermacalm-d-creme https://compendium.ch/product/10499-...mil-hydrocreme
But creams with the more potent Hydrocortisone butyrate, like the classic Locoid need a prescription.

My Mum had severe eczema for half of her adult life. I have had scratchiness pre Covid too. I should have worded it better, I meant never had full-blown Eczema.
You could still be right though |

All three kids and I suffer from eczema, and it’s usually much worse in winter when skin is enclosed in clothes.
The kids use Dexeril cream every day, which is utterly hypoallergenic. I prefer Antidry myself. We then use Bepanthen sensiderm on the areas which get more eczema, mostly arms and around the knees.
Usually, keeping your skin well hydrated prevents bouts of eczema.

Short story : Elocom on prescription. Worked a treat.
Long story ..
I've never had any kind of skin issues until about 3 years ago I went swimming in a river in France.. Following day my ears were blocked and itchy, right inside.. I assumed some infection from the river water. Went to the GP a couple of weeks later and she insisted it was eczema, only right there in the ear canal.. Maybe infection too.. Antibiotics and various creme did nothing.. I went back a few times, got different creme etc ..
Eventually I gave up, it was incredibly satisfying sticking my finger in the itchy ear.
Fast forward to recently, one of the kids had a bit of eczema and I took her to a dermatologist, she prescribed Elocom.. Cleared up the kid in days.. So I tried it in my ears and hey .. It worked, I've had nothing since..

I've graduated from steroids to full on immunosuppressants - tacrolimus.
Gets the job done. Burns a bit.
Only the very strongest steroids do anything for me - I find tacrolimus much more effective.

You could still be right though | | | | | Out of interest - did it improve as she got older? My dads was severe - now moderate at worst (he's 58). Mine is moderate to severe - and im hoping as I age (32 at present) things will get less bad.

Edit- Eczema | | | | | Have you perhaps started to take Vitamin D or C supplements recently? I have and am pretty sure that I have developed a rash as a result. I came out in lumps on my face and scaly itchy spots on my body. Dr Google diagnosed an allergy to the Vitamin D supplement.

Anyways.
Lard! Works great for me. And checking the desinfectant liquid over-use.
If it is itchy, could be yeast secondary inf., how much sugar/carbs/booze do you feed yourself?

Topical creams like dexeryl can help reduce the frequency and the severity of the flares.
