Certainly the case in the UK- where it is being administered in General Practices currently without problems.

Now that the vaccine is a reality, I am wondering what kind of certification is planned and why it hasn't already been rolled out . There is only a few weeks before folk will be going in for their second and final booster shots so they really should be getting something official for anticipated use at airports etc...
There is an internationally recognised document called a yellow card which is a requirement for entry into certain countries, but that is laughably easy to forge and may not meet the requirements of COVID-19 | The following 3 users would like to thank Castro for this useful post:

The UK only started in GP practices once they’d been doing it in hospitals for a while.
There are still an awful lot of small one or two doctor practices in Switzerland with maybe a practice assistant which make it more difficult here. It takes a lot of organisation.
My GP certainly couldn’t do it and keep up with regular appointments as well.

They all eat there with other staff, and just plough through. But yes, group practice where all partners and registrars, nurses, used to work as a team.

| | Re: Covid Vaccine: Will you get it? | Quote: | | | | | I am genuinely worried that not enough people will take the vaccine for us ever to get out of this. I think, as countries can’t force vaccination on the residents, they should all make it compulsory for tourists coming in. That’ll increase uptake. I know of someone who swore they wouldn’t get the vaccine, until they were told they might need it to go on holiday... then they were like “oh ok I’ll have it then” | | | | | I think it will be done similarly to what exists in some Asian countries - if you don't have a vax against some disease i.e., Yellow Fever, you are not allowed in the country. This will motivate even most prominent antivaxers and conspiracists to get the shot. Everyone wants to have an insta photo next to Big Ben, screw the principles.
Or perhaps this will boost the black market for fake yellow cards if they don't roll out something more reliable. | Quote: | | | | | Now that the vaccine is a reality, I am wondering what kind of certification is planned and why it hasn't already been rolled out . Or perhaps they are too busy administering the vaccine and postponed this problem to the moment when there are more vaccines than people willing to take them?

I came across this article (dated yesterday) earlier today, which is rather disheartening:
Top WHO scientist says vaccinated travelers should still quarantine, citing lack of evidence that COVID-19 vaccines prevent transmission https://www.businessinsider.com/who-...0-12?r=US&IR=T
"WHO's chief scientist, Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, noted on Monday that the agency had not established whether the COVID-19 vaccines being administered across the US and in Europe prevented people from getting the virus and passing it to others.
"At the moment I don't believe we have the evidence of any of the vaccines to be confident that it's going to prevent people from actually getting the infection and therefore being able to pass it on," Swaminathan told a virtual briefing, in comments reported by Axios." | The following 3 users would like to thank Pancakes for this useful post:

Much easier for most to just give up and get a shot than navigate the darknet in the search for the fake yellow card? Honestly, I think it will be easier to bribe a doctor to put a stamp and trash/sell the dose on the black market.

It is in french and English and has AVS number and passport number (not yet filled in as the didn’t have that info at the first appointment, that’s on the questionnaire to take with us next time) as well as the dates and lot numbers of the vaccine.
I don’t know if this is the definitive version and if it is valid for travel but there is certainly some certification being provided.

As recording of vaccinations is so haphazard, airlines will probably accept any kind of evidence that appears authentic.
There won't be a database though.
Maybe they can introduce a stamp in the passport at some point in time.

Of course on checkin or boarding the airlines will ask for it depending on what the governments want.

Lets face it. The vaccine protects you. There is no proof showing that the virus will not be transmitted to the other.
So its a Russian roulett . Take the vaccine and risk very real unknown consequences or go cold turkey without a vaccine and take the risk getting the virus ( with a very high chance of surviving it unscathed ,and get natural immunity )

While with the virus there is a 1/100 (1/1000 if you are young) chance to die, and 1/10 (1/100 if you are young) chance to have a long-term (months) health side effects like altered metabolism, inability to do physical exercise, skin rashes, mental problems etc.?
Just google "long covid", this will change your mind instantly.
