I tried to order from Iherb.com, but at the shipping details it said "your address contains letters or symbols not supported by the selected shipping service"
For both DHL and Swiss post.
Have you come across this before? Is it that the shipping services do not support?
Any good alternatives to Iherb.com out there? for ordering vitamins from abroad?
(I want D-vitamins, Zinc and Quercetin in higher proportions than the Swiss standards)
There is no address in Switzerland which has a . And anyone in Switzerland knows that you can substitute for oe, for ae and, for ue.

Vitamins Online

I am currently residing in Liechtenstein but the strict limitations to importing goods from abroad which apply in Switzerland apply here as well. I am accustomed to ordering vitamins and other health-related products online given the greater selection and prices. Does anyone have any recommendations of an online store which I can use to continue to do this which is available in the Swiss trade area?

For reference, I have in the past used iHerb and I did this once shortly after moving to Switzerland but I received a relatively large bill from the customs authorities in the process. I would prefer to avoid this in the future and I feel there must be a more reasonable option here.

Re: Vitamins Online

Interesting... I've ordered from iherb.com many times but have never had to pay any VAT or customs fees. In fact, I just received a shipment from them last week. But maybe it's a matter of whether or not you go over a certain amount. That is a great site, though. I don't know how they can get away with such cheap international shipping.

Another site similar to iherb.com is vitacost.com. They also have cheap int'l shipping. Or you could try amazon.de or amazon.co.uk? I order from amazon.de all the time and almost never have to pay any VAT or customs or anything.

Re: Vitamins Online

Iherb changed their format a few years ago. If you do owe tax, it now appears in the cart when you check out, so you can decide if you want to proceed.

That's right. I think I do remember seeing that there now, when I placed my order recently. It is nice that they calculate it for you in advance.

Re: Vitamins Online

Keep your orders small. If the total price, including shipping, is less than f62 there are no taxes.

I order tea bags (long story) from iHerb and they collect Swiss VAT at time of sale.

https://www.brack.ch/fr/supermarche-...mines-mineraux

I am using Brack from pretty much everything in these corona times (I have an added discount through my employer - worth to check if yours does too)

Delivery is next day if they have the stock - you see the numbers when you order.

actually for supplements the limit is like for food, 200fr

I never had issues with iHerb nor paid any tax. I did pay tax for Vitacost a couple of times though.

If you are worried you can order multiple times small packages, iHerb ships for free orders above 40$. Though not the best thing for environment (extra packaging).

I've been ordering all my supplements from www.naturesbest.co.uk for years. Usually quick delivery, decent prices, good selection and never had to pay any import duty.

Re: Vitamins Online

Sounds great and I'm tempted to order, however I'm wondering if there's really a need for supplements for anyone <50 that has a normal lifestyle.
Any advice?

Re: Where to buy vitamins in Switzerland?

Yes! I had the same problem last year and you HAVE TO use either A, O, U or Ae, Oe, Ue instead of the , for example.

My orders came without problems!

EDITED - Turned out that you can not use . You must change letters from to A, for example. I place a big order now so we will see if it reaches me....

Just tried iherb for the 1st time and taxes and duties was 1.77chf for a total order of 72.87chf. Definitely handy in lock down situation when u can't easily pop over to Germany. Fab👌
