So after all the nerves and uncertainty, it seems as if the Swiss government are actually making good on their word, in fact even earlier than promised!

Switzerland cancels thousands of vaccination appointments after Moderna delivery delay. (might be behind a paywall).

And Solothurn, Aargau, Uri and Basel-Land (from the linked article) Fribourg too once the over-50s have been vaccinated.

The impression I get from the article is that my hunch was along the right lines that the Cantons are focusing on getting the numbers vaccinated rather than the BAG recommended risk groups.

Yes. Israel-style. I wonder what re-vaccination strategy we will copy..where from.

I opened Zurich website just out of curiousity and found out that the groups H, K and M are opened (50+). Probably it's a very recent decision as there was not alert in AlertSwiss yet.

This thread is giving me vaccine-envy.

Sz is still restricted to higher risk groups and over 65s.

At this rate, I'll probably turn 65 before my turn comes around.

Pharmacists may make sense. But do remember a nurse can do it. Doctor not required.

In rare cases where there is a severe vaccination reaction, it is useful to have a doctor around.

It's not really a good use of doctors time to be present at every vaccination 'just in case' of the rare event of a 'severe' reaction.
In VD when you register and indicate "allergies", the system automatically restricts you to certain vaccination centers, mostly large medical establishments, where a Dr. present and can be of assistance in case of bad reaction.

Re: When can we take covid vaccine

Not sure which thread to put this in but I'm sure someone here knows: I received my second dose in March and yesterday received a result from CHUV (the university hospital) that my antibody levels are 132.7 (info received verbally), with no other explanation.

I am having a darned difficult time figuring out what this means exactly. Presumably such a number is good, but I don't know what the acceptable ranges of this value are.

Anyone know?
