If you get through, I would appreciate to hear back on (1) whether just to wait for invite or re-register, and (2) if they schedule by decreasing age within the group. Thanks.

Neuchâtel just opened up vaccination to everyone over 16.
They will start vaccinating that group on May 10th.

The Vaccine appointment site is advising that the side effects would be higher in this group.hence the question. Thanks. | | | | | My husband had Covid badly and was ventilated and we both had our 2nd jabs last week. He had the jab at 10am and by 6pm felt really bad, the next day he was very poorly but improved the following day. 5 days later is is still not feeling as he did before the jab and feels he has gone back a month in his recovery.
I had the 2nd vaccine and was absolutely fine - we both had the pfizer one

| | Re: When can we take covid vaccine | Quote: | | | | | Yes, I registered back in January, when the app first went live. The reports of other cantons deleting registrations before the risk group was called has me a tad concerned, so I've been trying to get hold of the hotline to verify if my registration is still good. Hotline rings busy, perhaps not surprising.
I'm also registered with my GP, but as per my previous post, they don't know when they will receive supplies. | | | | | Someone I work with who lives in SZ (early 40s, registered in January) received an appointment by SMS this morning. So they are coming.

Aargau has released the following information today:
"Appointments are given in May and June (those who registered in January and February can expect the SMS appointment in May, all others probably in June)"
Restbevölkerung: Termine werden im Mai und Juni vergeben (wer sich im Januar und Februar registriert hat, kann im Mai mit dem Termin-SMS rechnen, alle anderen voraussichtlich im Juni)
Looks like my hopes for mid May as a 1st day person are still realistic

So nothing about 32 yo in the small print? I would double check if I were you.

I had my 2nd Pfizer/Biontech jab last Friday. No side effects at all, and despite most people saying that the 2nd jab seems to carry a body load, I felt nothing. The 1st was worse in terms of local muscle pain, and it made me hungry.
Good luck y'all.

Zürich:
The appointments for my group in the whole canton seems are used up.
I checked my GP and they said they don't do vaccination.
Anyone with similar situation?
The issue is that we will be travelling beginning of June, and with 4 weeks between 1st and 2nd jab, even if we can get the 1st one, we are going to miss the 2nd jab.
It is okay to take only 1st jab? Or it is okay to have the 2nd jab months after the 1st one?
Or is it better not to take half, i.e. skip vaccination?
Ollie

Ollie | | | | | 1 jab is better than no jab... I seem to recall somewhere stating that in the UK, there are no deaths of people with 1 jab. I may be wrong.
You may find that when you come back, they will want you to redo both jabs though, if the period between the two is too long.

How can they be opening up vaccination to people of all ages given the percentage of people that have been vaccinated so far? To me, something just doesn't quite add up.

I got my appointments!
Mid May and Mid June.
Komsomolez, according to the hotline, appointments are being sent out more or less in order of registration, unless there is a risk factor which would take priority.
My appointmens appeared about half a hour after I spoke to the hotline... probably a coincidence, but if your appointment doesn't show up in the next days, perhaps call.
You get a text message with the appointment date, time and place. If you can't' make the dates assigned, there is a link in the text to manage your appointments.
Mine are at Spital Lachen.
So a chance I can go home for the Fourth of July! Woooohoooo!

Its been well below average flu death figures for the time of year for a while (basically showing its post-pandemic to me).
