For those of you in Zurich, the website says it is first-come, first-served when your group is called. It does not seem to depend on when you have registered (which was anyway only possible at the end of March).
I was wondering how quickly those appointments have been filling up when the site opens - hours? minutes?
I don't have an overview of what the latest vaccine shipment means for the vaccination program in Canton Zurich and when they will open the next group. When I call, I don't get any substantive answer.
We are group N, which I hope does not stand for "never" ... | This user would like to thank batucada for this useful post:

| | | | | Hi,
Are you saying that as long as your group is on, then you can come to get vaccination even without appointment ?
I'm trying to get an appointment, so far without success.
I saw one yesterday, but as I want to check another vaccination center, I moved away from the webpage, and when I return back, it is already gone

Aargau hot out of the blocks with a text from "Impfcovid"

Hi Ollie, no. As I understand it, when your group is opened, you can go and register for an appointment - not get the vaccine directly. However, this appointment process is first-come, first-served, regardless of when you registered at vacme. I was wondering how long the slots stay open for this process...

I called the SZ hotline this morning, they still had my registration but apparently it was not for all locations - so they added this. Said I should expect invite within minutes. I called again just now as I received no invites, now they say they are currently scheduling new slots and I should get an invite within a day or two. I appreciate it is quite some logistics effort, but I wouldn't trust on the original registration being the fastest road to the needle.

I am in category 'N'
Any ideas as to when 'N' is being vaccinated? Who do I need to contact & is it first come first serve basis?

I am quite sure I would have selected all sites. They also added four new sites since (on top of hospitals in Schwyz, Lachen, Einsiedeln) where the vaccibate on weekends.
And here we go: first shot on Thursday in Schwyz! | The following 4 users would like to thank komsomolez for this useful post:

Nice one - I suspect AG is waiting to see how many of those 500,000 moderna doses not yet distributed it gets...
I'll ring up on Monday if I've heard nothing by then (I'm traveling in July to a wedding which is my main reason for wanting it in May)

I don't expect it soon as this group was only opened recently and Zurich is the last canton based on the rate of vaccinated population.
Watch for announcements on AlertSwiss. I also set additional alert (there are some services that watch the content of the pages) on the change of the part of the page with the list of currently opened groups on Zurich website. Usually this page is updated in the morning and the alert via AlertSwiss comes few hours later, so you have some time before the news is widely spread.

I was talking to a friend from Thurgau today, she had her vaccination a couple of weeks ago. She belongs to a Pilatus class and they are all in their early seventies. She is the only one vaccinated and the others all mocked her.
Last week one from the class was diagnosed with COVID and she died in the hospital on Sunday.
Maybe they will take it more seriously now?

On a more serious note, I was indeed wondering how the recent "Impfturbo" for 18+ reflects on the uptake among the elderly. I hope your friends' story is an absolute outlier. But then I had to order my mother to get her AZ shot as she was clouded in her judgement of risk/benefit.
Edit: These Pilates people are some esoteric bunch though so hopefully not representative.

| | Re: When can we take covid vaccine
I just went to vacme.ch to register for the vaccine (my husband had told me that he had already registered me but apparently he never did ) and after registering, it automatically allowed me to book appointments to receive the vaccine (in Wetzikon, as all the appointments in Uster were already taken, I guess).
After I registered, it told me that I am in Group E (I'm in my late 40s) and it gave me a page with a code, etc. on it to keep and to print. While registering, I had listed my chronic illness as being asthma as well as the fact that I have a damaged heart due to an incident that occurred after my son was born. So I guess that's why I was automatically asked to make an appointment.
So now I have an appt for my first shot a week from tomorrow and then my second shot on June 9th.
Today is my birthday, too. So that's a nice Bday present -- being able to finally get the vaccine soon. I hope everyone else here can, too!
