Mind that according to the current plans, we will only be cleared to travel within the EU two weeks after the second shot. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-56970398
So, unless you want to jostle with the July 14th zoo in France and other mid-July travel waves, plan tight.

Got my first dose of Moderna yesterday. No side effects at all. Had the vaccine at 10am and went to work at 2pm. I hope it will be the same with the second dose

For those nervous about getting your jabs, I've had my 2 and had no side effects at all - not even a sore arm. My husband also has had both shots with no side effects. We both had Pfizer.

As Ouchboy mentioned, yes I selected Menziken and other 5 as option to take it. So, it seems no one wants to go to Menziken | | | | | I selected all and got Aarau - which you would think would be relatively popular.

Got the first yesterday at 17h, was fine until this morning, when I noticed to light-headedness and nausea, so decided it best to not drive to work.
My wife only got a sore arm (mine is slightly sore this morning, but not enough to bother me, but she's using ice and stuff, and needed help undoing her bra).

Got my second dose this morning at Windish (AG) - literally no side effects. (Moderna before anyone asks)
Not even a sore arm.
After the injection, she tried finding the blood to put a plaster, and couldn't
Went straight to work after, feels a bit like finishing a long video game or binge watching a series... you sit there thinking "now what?".
Can't wait for travel to be allowed again, masks to be done away with, and life to return to normal.
The only downside is that the vaccine certificate system, hosted by onedoc, doesn't work.

So I received this on my facebook feed this morning. Apparently Zurich are doing a big campaign on getting people to vaccinate. Will this inspire you?

| | Re: When can we take covid vaccine | Quote: | | | | | The majority of people who've had the vaccine so far are elderly and/or have a pre-existing condition. I'm pretty certain that this demographic will be more concerned about protection than taking a holiday.
TBH, I've not heard anyone say that travel is their prime motivation for being vaccinated but I've certainly heard people say that one of the additional benefits they're looking forward to is resuming some sort of normality, and travelling is one of those benefts. That's my position. I'm glad to have had my jabs and be playing a part in us all getting back to normal. When the UK finally allows Swiss travellers to arrive without quarantine, I'm pretty sure that a trip home will be on the cards -- but it's certainly not the main reason for getting vaccinated.
When all's said and done I want everyone to be reasonable and to get their vaccinations. It will help us all -- and help you. I'm not at all interested in what they chatter about to their friends on the subject. Totally irrelevant. | | | | | That’s interesting. I‘m one of those people that have been masking since March 2020, and was groaned and bad repped on EF so many times for my attempt at keeping non-German speaking people up-to-date while Boris was still proud that he was „shaking hands, and will continue to do so“ with people dying of Covid.
I have a few good Swiss friends, and I have to admit that they are reluctant to get vaccinated. 4 have definitely stated their only reason to get a jab are because they want to be able to travel. Those 4 are in good health, fit etc. And their attitude totally surprised me. Age range between 35 and 50.

Got the first shot earlier today in Menziken (AG) with the Moderna vaccine.
No pain, just sleepy but it may just be a condition called Monday. I'm technically under 40YO, but less than a year for that. When I arrived I felt a bit worried for being the youngest. But, there were 2 or 3 younger ones....relief.
What surprised me the most was how relaxed was all the personnel in the vaccination center. I expected a bit of military style operation but it was surprisingly relaxed and friendly.

| | Re: When can we take covid vaccine | Quote: | | | | | It's my only reason, I have had Covid & already had antibodies. The big joke is that restrictions are identical as we speak. | | | | | It was also ours, however we canceled our vaccination appointments as it doesn't seem like the US will open its borders in time for our vacation (which we had booked pre-Covid). If they do, it could very well be we will be able to enter with just a negative test, similar to what most other countries currently require.

Had my second jab yesterday (Moderna) and while I had no side effects after the 1st jab other than a sore arm, with the 2nd it is a completely different reaction.
Sore arm was to be expected, but I have, fever, nausea, dizziness and headache. I have read these can last a day or several.
Husband was fine after his 2nd so I guess I am just unlucky. | This user would like to thank Mrs. Doolittle for this useful post: | |

Several times in the last week I have read on Swiss news sites that Switzerland had now launched the "Impfturbo" and we would be top of (continental) Europe now. Blick was particularly loud.
Looking at the numbers, I wonder where they get this from? |
