When can we take covid vaccine Hi, I am now working and holding a B permit in Switzerland. Does any one know when or how can we take a covid vaccine? Do we just call our family doctor to make an appointment or someone will notify us when it becomes available? I do not have any symptom now, just want to take vaccine, because I still need to go outside for my work. Thanks |

Re: When can we take covid vaccine Are you over 80? If not, it's going to be a long wait. Tom |
Re: When can we take covid vaccine I sent a polite email to my doctor, asking the same question, and was sent quite an angry PDF statement in response, full of exclamation marks and capitals, basically saying "STOP HASSLING US!" TBH, I was pretty pissed off as the doctor's website has never mentioned Covid once in the last year, and it would save a lot of enquiries if they put their (politer) statement up there. Anyway, in among the ranting it basically said that for Zurich (my Kanton) all relevant information would be found here: https://www.zh.ch/de/gesundheit/coro...s-impfung.html The rant went on to say that all local doctors in Zurich had been sent 100 doses which had been quickly used up, and that they were waiting to hear about arrangements for mass-vaccination centres because administering vaccines in doctors' surgeries was impractical due to the space and ventilation requirements. |

Re: When can we take covid vaccine The OFSP/BAG reckons that all those who want to be vaccinated should get one by this summer. |

You know, one way or the other, it will be reached eventually, even despite all mutations. |

And I was soooooo hoping to be able to head back to the US for Mother's Day. |
Re: When can we take covid vaccine Here is the link to details from Vaud. https://monitoring.unisante.ch/d/krL...d=4&refresh=5m Not the best results so far. In the over 75 group they are only up to 55% (going up 1% per day at the moment). I know people who are waiting. A slight positive is that they did close to 4'000 doses today and the number per day seems to be going up. Hopefully it continues/improves. In the other age groups the doses you see would be people with health problems or people who are in contact with the elderly or people with health problems. For example, my doctor told me that she can't get the shot yet as she is not working in the emergency department. |

Re: When can we take covid vaccine Why would you want to? I will happily wait until the zombie apocalypse, in case it comes. If it doesn't, then it was all pointless. Tom |
Re: When can we take covid vaccine as the age of the cohorts called up for vaccination decreases, I expect the no-vaxxers to increase in % as they don't sense an immediate danger from covid. So we might luck out, who knows... |
