So Hirslanden.

Completely uncomplicated, take your health insurance card, get your test in the container near radiology, leave. The bill will follow, the results are approximately 48 hours in the making.

Two young ladies in very basic protective gear enjoying their job, for some reason I think they are pleased when it's not your first test so they don't have to explain everything....
48 hours for the result is very unimpressive.

Basel airport apparently 110CHF, cheapest around.
Certainly the cheapest in the Basel region, although I think it's only open to passengers?

I think they were punting 24-32 hours typically but I suspect longer. 156,- for travel IIRC which is marginally cheaper than the airport but I don't have to go to the airport, park at the airport, etc etc.

Took the test at 4pm and received the results next morning via email at 8.30am. btw they didn't seem to be very busy.

Re: PCR Test Costs

Andres Pharmacy at ZŁrich Stadelhofen charges 133,5 chf (106 for the laboratory and the rest for taking the sample). You can book via internet. Well organised. Did the test on a Friday afternoon, got the result in the evening.
Still a lot of money... considering that in France (Paris) all the tests are free

Covid 19 test cost

Hi all,
New to this forum thank you for the nice welcome in my previous post.

I am frustrated and frustrated is an understatement!

I need to fly back to Switzerland and the cost apparently of a Covid 19 test from boots is 130-180 Sterling!!!!

How can someone charge that for a Covid 19 test then on top of that to fly back for a funeral I have to pay for one in Switzerland price unknown as I havenít flown from Zurich this year yet.
I assume it will be something like 130CHF
And then on top of that I have the same again for a test to fly back!!!!
On top of airfare!

I understand Covid 19 is life threatening and all but still this frustrated me a lot!

Iím hopefully the travel announcement on the 17th of May they reduce the Covid 19 travel cost for tests because itís just crazy

Rant over.

Re: Covid 19 test cost

You don’t need a PCR test for the U.K., a rapid antigen test is sufficient and they’re free here. All you would have to lay would be the 10 or 15chf fee for the travel certificate.

You would need to buy the days 2 and 8 test package for the U.K. and quarantine though so you’d have to be back well in advance of the funeral to allow time for that.

I think you should familiarise yourself with all the requirements before you make any travel plans. It takes a bit more organisation these days.

It doesn’t really belong here either in my opinion since it mostly relates to the UK not Switzerland.

I would have merged it with one of the (UK) travel threads personally.

Nope, you don't need to fly through Euroairport.
1 friend travelled by train, another flew from ZŁrich.
