Anorexia / Bulimia / Orthorexia nervosa - Therapist in Zurich

A young woman suffering from anorexia and orthorexia nervosa (and possibly bulimia) is in need of a sensible, pragmatic, compassionate psychotherapist (can be a psychologist or a psychiatrist offering clinical psychotherapy). I'd be grateful for recommendations, please. Must speak German.

Re: Anorexia / Bulimia / Orthorexia nervosa - Therapist in Zurich

Doropfiz, have you had a look through the Schweizerische Gesellschaft Für Essstörung website? Their list of therapists is searchable by professional group and type of care (in patient, outpatient, clinic, etc.) provided. See under 'Addressen'.

It might be a good place to start.

Not quite the personal recommendation you are looking for - but on the other hand, successful treatment often is a function of finding the right therapist and program for the individual. What worked for one person might be the wrong approach for another. The patient (or parents or guardians if appropriate) will likely need to interview several providers to get a sense of how what the therapist offers meshes with the patient's own particular needs.
