| | Quarantine - what exactly does that mean
I'll need to Quarantine soon so I want to prepare myself.
I understand the words but I'm not confident the words match the requirement.
Let me explain.
The rule is I must quarantine to my apartment.
My clothes washing machine is located in the basement of my apartment building --- Do I read the requirement that I can NOT wash my clothes? or can I do this as it's in my apartment building.
Or another is --- Mail / deliveries --- the mail box is 3 floors down.
Or my storage unit is in the basement, I have a spot in my storage unit where I have a "workbench" and spend some time there working on stuff (sometimes for a few hours).
I just want to try and clarify
I'm planning to avoid all the things I mentioned above due to my understanding of the rules, but thought I'd ask.

Quarantine = stay where you are as you should not meet other people.

one way to get ready is to organize food at your place before the trip

If possible ask a neighbour to get your post and leave it outside your door at an agreed time or before ringing your bell.

I've reviewed the documents you posted -- OK I really only skimmed them,
my question is still not answered. Someone mentioned having a neighbor deliver my mail to my door, that would also suggest that I should NOT do my laundry (as it's a few floors down from me and I'd be in there for an extended period of time).

Then you can’t go downstairs to do your laundry until your quarantine is finished. It seems perfectly clear to me.

Since you only scanned the skimmed them, here is the very short version.
1. Go into your apartment
2. Lock door behind you
3. Do no unlock door until the period has expired
4. Do not climb out window as alternative to door

Washing by hand in the sink is always a possibility.

In any case, if you are quarantined you don't even need clothes, so what laundry?

Oh come on, it's ten days at home, surely one has enough cloths to manage without the need to do a wash....

I have a quarantine question and didn’t want to start a new thread.
I was wondering if there is anything to stop you leaving Switzerland almost immediately after arriving from a quarantine list country? (In the U.K. it’s allowed)
For example, could I arrive from the Maldives, collect my dog and drive to the U.K.?
I’m just thinking aloud - but I have to quarantine 10 days in the U.K. anyway - might be worth linking 2 trips. I would fly Maldives - U.K. to eliminate Switzerland, but I need to get my dog!
There is an exemption for transiting Switzerland - so thinking that might fall into this??

Just call yourself "Transit passengers who enter Switzerland for the purpose of transiting the country." |

In other words an international transfer at Zurich or Geneva.
