| | Did you receive any proof that you'd had the vaccine?
I had my first Covid vaccination recently at the Messe in Zurich. It occurred to me afterwards that I didn't receive anything to confirm that I'd had the jab. In fact it was only when I was leaving that I realised I didn't even know which vaccine I'd been given and had to go back to ask (Pfizer). I have all the paperwork to prove that I was invited, but not that I've actually had it. Have other people received something? Or perhaps this happens only after the second shot?

After my first shot they asked me if I wanted a hard copy or an email pdf of my Confirmation. I elected the email. I received it before I had left the building. After the second, same question and same result.
You might want to go back and check, it appears you have missed a step.
Mind you I am in Vaud, perhaps they do it differently on the other side of the ditch.

I received a certificate after both shots which gave details of the time and place, the person administering the shots, the lot numbers of the vaccines and my AVS number.
They are in french and English.

Wow!
In Neuchâtel, I got an A4 printed sheet with the name of vaccine, Pfizer, date and detail of site and date of second jab. OH got the same, and then a second one with details of both jabs and dates, and site - to confirm he was fully vaccinated. He copied, saved to Pdf, and laminated 1 copy.

In Vaud after each shot I received an emailed PDF from the Cantonal health authority that states in English and French the date, manufacturer (Moderna) and lot number of each injection I received.
I mentioned this in another thread but it's worth repeating here that I was also asked if I'd be interested in signing up for the Swiss electronic vaccination passport "myCOVIDvac.ch", which "could serve as a base for this international vaccination certificate, or «WHO smart yellow card» ".

Thanks everyone. I'll wait a couple more days to see if something is emailed or posted to me. If not, I'll follow it up.
Edited to add: the odd thing is that when I went back to ask which vaccine I'd received, the person I spoke to didn't say "It's on the paper we gave you" or similar. I was just told "Pfizer" and that was it.

In Canton Engeland I received a little paper calling card on which was handwritten my name and the batch number. I later checked the online Federal IT system (aka NHS) which confirmed the immunisation...

The person who gave me the jab, completed, signed and stamped the card. They also added some stickers from the vaccine package. And of course it’s all recorded electronically as well. As far as I could see it was the same for others around me.

In Zürich, just go back to the website which you registered on. There is a pdf you can download with all the information on it.
Once a digital passport or whatever is created they will transfer the details from there to the new system

After my second shot I got an email with a PDF and was handed a paper copy before I left.
I'm very much hoping that there's a 'system' behind all this that has a permanent record and that will, eventually, get transferred onto some kind of covid 'passport'

I had my first shot at the Kantonspital Luzern, where they asked me for my vaccination card. When I told them I didn't have one, they issued me with one there and then.

My GP in BL told me to bring my WHO yellow card and have it updated. However, he said that the document that the site provides you is very important to keep and is considered the official swiss document.

I was along with someone to get their jab at the ZH messe. They had a little ticket which named the vaccine type, and at the check out counter after the 15 minute wait they asked for and received a vaccine statement "Bestätigung" which was on Kantonal letterhead. It listed name, DOB, vaccine type and lot.
They mentioned that not everybody received one, therefore they asked for it.

Maybe it's Kanton-dependent. | Quote: | | | | | In Zürich, just go back to the website which you registered on. There is a pdf you can download with all the information on it... | | | | | Bingo! Thanks, that's the answer -- in ZH at least. The VacMe page that had the confirmation of the appointment now also has a PDF with details of the jab, batch number etc. I had checked this page a couple of times and might not have bothered doing so again until I saw your message, so thank you. I was given a little information sheet when I was leaving, advising on possible reactions etc., so might have expected a pointer to the VacMe page for the conformation. Not even an automated email sent out. But so be it. I have the info now. | Quote: | | | | | After my second shot I got an email with a PDF and was handed a paper copy before I left. As long as you have your 6-digit code (which ZH people get, not sure if this is the country-wide system) then I'm sure all activities will be traceable. Also, they've matched up health insurance numbers to vaccinations so there should be no problem. | Quote: | | | | | I was along with someone to get their jab at the ZH messe. Hmm, no Bestätigung issued on-site, even when I asked which vaccine I'd been given. Confession: I just checked the small slip you mention and it does say "Comirnaty" on it. This meant nothing to me but I just googled it and find it's a brand name for the Pfizer vaccine. So it seems they did at least give me this info (apologies to the ZH authorities) though TBH I'd never heard this name before despite following the news quite carefully. It's always Pfizer or Pfizer/Biontech when mentioned in the media.
Anyway, thanks everyone. Interesting how the system differs between Kantons.

Anyway, thanks everyone. Interesting how the system differs between Kantons. | | | | | The Cormirnaty thing threw me at first as well and I had to look it up. I knew I’d had the Pfizer jab as it was the only one approved here when I had mine but I had never heard it called by that name.
It’s very interesting how the different cantons are doing things but I think the certificate is a standard format so they should all be the same.
They don’t do the vaccination cards or stickers here in Neuchâtel, just the certificates.
My husband and I don’t have the vaccine cards so it never occurred to us but our son has one which he took with him for his vaccine appointments but they weren’t interested and just gave him the certificate.

If anyone wants the WHO Yellow booklet, you can download one from here. https://www.who.int/ihr/IVC200_06_26.pdf
If your printer has a ‘booklet’ feature it should work well.
