Has anyone had success ringing up the centres for no shows and getting an earlier appointment?

I did get a call from a doctor's office though I could not take it.

But there are free slots on vacme recently and the system has become more user friendly - it shows up only places with available dates. Sometimes it is in the same week.

Was there today (Messe Oerlikon). Got Moderna, no choice given, the reception said literally "today one gets Moderna". But you could choose if right or left arm. Pretty efficient, 40mins over all, of which 15mins obligatory waiting before checkout, probably the grossly test to see one falls not inconscious or the like.

I got my Moderna yesterday, woke up about 12 last night with an extremely sore arm and headache which just won't quit.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day lol!

I got Moderna last Thursday in Winterthur.

On Friday had pretty sore arm, couldn't sleep on that side 2 nights - no other side effects.


My wife got Moderna yesterday in Wetzikon, her arm seems to be better than mine was - also no other side effects.

My Husband had the Pfizer vaccine three weeks ago and had no side effects at all.

Out flat for 2 days after the second Moderna. Still very happy I had them!

When I arrived at the Messehalle in Zürich I put on the first mask that came to hand when I reached into my pocket, which happened to be one of those washable, treated cloth types that are supposed to be especially effective. It didn't convince the security guy who asked me to remove it, handing me one of the usual pale blue papery ones instead. Everyone then kept the same mask on throughout.

I don't blame them. It's very hard to tell if a cloth mask is going to be effective thanks to a special coating just by looking at it. Many standard cloth masks that I see blatantly aren't, sometimes the fabric is thin enough to be slightly see-through.

Just had a sore arm for a couple of days with my first jab, but off to get the second soon. Hope I'm not hit like you were roegner.

Got Moderna few minutes ago in Winterthur. Most of the people around are 50+, even 60+ (but those are mostly for the second dose).

So if your first shot at the Impfzentrum is Pfizer, can your second shot still be Moderna?

I put on fresh KN-95 mask before entering the center, but they gave me a medical mask instead, what is the point? Though afterwards I saw some people in the FFP2, probably their masks looked more reliable than mine.
