I'm female and am due to have my second dose of the Moderna vax next week, and I want to be as prepared as possible, I guess -- both in terms of being mentally prepared and also to have whatever kind of meds I might need to manage any side-effects (apart from the obvious Dafalgan). | | | | | Just knackered, nothing serious. Have some paracetamol ready or a nice glass of wine and go to bed early. As with any vaccination, different per person

I got a Moderna yesterday’s Oerlikon. My husband had his injection today and also received a moderna. Interestingly he met a friend of ours in the train who had her injection at Oerlikon only two hours earlier than him. She got Pfizer. They both thought it may be an age thing - the friend is in her early 50s. We are in our early 40s.
So difficult to say which one people will get....

My original reservation was there on the evening of 31 as well, but I had to change to another date and center because it didn't suit me. Missed my Pfizer and got Moderna instead. | This user would like to thank TinyK for this useful post:

As with any vaccination, different per person | | | | | Yeah, I was tired the day after my second Pfizer 11 days ago, had a nap for 45 mins and felt perfect again. No other side effects (except for the usual sore arm for about 48 hrs - but that wasn’t bad either). I also celebrated this event (same day) with a good long freedom power-walk in the forest, followed by a good wine.
Now, 11 days on, it finally feels so good! Have reduced my double FFP2 mask wearing to just one, unless I’m in the supermarket or on public transport. I think, that over time, I will reduce to just one mask . The cool thing is, that life has returned to a level of normality for me in the sense that I don’t get frustrated if some idiot is riding the tram or Seilbahn etc with his mask around his neck etc.
I just think - “that’s YOUR problem” | This user would like to thank ZuriRollt for this useful post:

They make an appointment for you only in the know that there will be the second dose too. One of the reasons for which the process seemed too slow. | | | | | Yes, Switzerland does not have a policy of mixing the type of vaccine administrated. It’s all computerized, so if your first vaccine was Pfizer, your second will also be Pfizer.

But no longer than a few hours - next day was fine.
