A few days ago but I assume they can update it centrally?
I think they're still working out bugs with the current electronic certificates and making sure they're compatible with the EU. From what I have read the certificates should be fully functional by 1st July. If someone with an existing cert still shows 6 months at that time, I'd ask about it. But where? Cantonal authority??

There's the old WHO vaccination document:

I guess there's no problem showing the vaccine certificate while boarding a plane in ZH or GE, the issue is coming back to CH.
Yes I'm wondering if I can get away using this document flying direct from USA to Switzerland. My vaccine will come into full force while I am there and stress about such things. (such as getting the correct official document downloaded properly in time) I've used that document in South America to board planes with the Yellow Fever vaccine a few times.

Thanks for your answers. Unfortunately, all the answers are very theoretical. I wanted private stories about your travels from Switzerland to, for example, European Union countries. What documents did you use?

Pcr test or antigen test depending on the country, entry forms. Flying to Germany yesterday: just showing the yellow booklet.

What is required per country changes on a regular basis, so what you read now can be void next week.

I am getting hopelessly confused...

(Maybe a subconscious dread of having to start the constant traveling again...)

Are the regs to enter German federal, or Bundesland-dependent?

vaccination card. what is the card that you can buy from the pharmacy for the vaccine and does it differ from the existing vaccination card that i have? I'm wondering whether i need to buy this other thing or just record the vaccine onto my existing vaccination card.

Just record it on your normal vaccine card. In addition sometime soon youíll get the certificate with QR code too.

They (meaning at least Western Europe and North America) need to provide a common set of rules. Eg if you are fully vaccinated no test, if you aren't a test is required. The current situation is hardly encouraging people to get vaxxed.

I have an avalanche of delayed weddings coming up (4 in 3 months)

So much apero food!

Anyways - does anyone know if an antigen with a certificate is ok on a Swiss->German train? Done less than 24hr before boarding.

If you look at the website from RKI Germany you will see that as from tomorrow Switzerland is no longer classified as risk country. Depending on where you live in CH you can already now travel without tests

Good news! Looks like CH is not considered risk for Germany.

I have now downloaded my certificate, uploaded it into the app and was shocked that the vaccination expires on December 2, 2021.

Both! Overall they are federal but circumstances like a high infection rate can cause a Bundesland to add extra restrictions.

Olygirl, did the expiration date appear only in the app?

I've downloaded my certificate as a paper copy (cause I'm a luddite ) and there is no expiration date. I haven't uploaded it to the app yet, though...

Swiss Commission decides vaccine protection lasts 12 months

I would expect that the vaccine certificate is active for that same period.
