Has anyone travelled to Italy from Switzerland in the last few days? Seems like a test is no longer needed if you have 2x vaccinations at least 14 days previously. Do they recognise the Swiss Covid Certificate/app?
Thanks in advance.... | | | | | Yeah, I'd like to know that as well... The IT national legislation allows to enter ONLY with EU digital green certificate, but CH has not attached to DGCG yet, what makes the condition impossible. Maybe the IT police is pragmatic, and accepts Swiss covid pass, but can someone confirm?

Thanks everyone for the polite discussion. My kids and I are going to Greece (I'm fully vaxxed, kids are both under 12, no need for test to enter Greece) - but we are leaving from Memmingen DE, and I have not been able to find any reference to whether or not they need one to transit Germany/enter the airport. Anyone want to opine?
(For the return, we'll have to wait and see as this current round of measures expires on the 28th.)
Thanks a lot, happy and safe travels all!
Katerina

It doesn't specify you have to have the EU certificate only. It says you need a green certificat from your home country. | This user would like to thank 3Wishes for this useful post:

It says you need a green certificat from your home country. | | | | | Digital Green Certificate is a term used for EU covid certificate ( https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-cont...%3A52021PC0130), and this is what the Italian legislation refers to. Swiss covid certificate did not join the system (yet), so what you got from BAG is not green certificate.
I know that page, but that one is not addressing the question, how pragmatic Italians are. Strictly formally, the legislation states an impossible condition for the Swiss to enter.

| | Re: Covid vaccine and travel | Quote: | | | | | Hi everyone!
Is the covid test necessary to board SWISS planes?
I read on the airline's website that the test is not needed and a vaccination document can be used. Is it an official vaccination certificate? I know the government has not yet prepared an official vaccination certificate. So maybe it is just a document from a vaccination center?
Do you have experience in this matter? What documents does SWISS accept? | | | | | It's not about what company you fly with. It's about the country entry restrictions.
Keep in mind that the requirements keep changing almost every two weeks.
If you are asking for flying into Switzerland (no matter what company) the best place to look at the current requirements is BAG https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home...nreisende.html | This user would like to thank RoseGlow for this useful post:

And list of countries to worry about (to enter Switzerland) here: https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home...html#858610174
Again, check frequently because it changes about twice a month.

Just want to confirm for others who may be vaccinated and coming back to CH. We got both Pfizer shots in the US and received a paper vaxx card from the US site. Coming back on 7/4, we had to show this paper card to the airline (United) [and residence card of course] but no test results. That was enough to get back into ZRH direct from Newark.

Apologies if this has already been asked! Are Switzerland accepting the NHS app as proof of vax? My Dad just booked flights |

But just like United checked for a neg test on the way from ZRH to the US; they also checked for the vaxx proof (or test results) on the way from US to ZRH.

Did an antigen test near Schwyz today. It was just one man doing the documentation, the payment and the test itself. He had his hands full.
However, it was easy to get an appointment and the test is free but the certificate is SFr. 20. Met a man there who was about to go to Italy but needed the test. Of course he's not vaxxed....why should he be? (Sarcasm on my side.) He'll be doing a self-test for his return journey. I seriously think some people are just asking for the virus.
For those in the area who are looking for an appointment, try:
COVID-19-Testtermine Kanton Schwyz
Telefon 0800 837 879 (Mo-So 07:00 bis 19:00) test.sz@jdmt.ch
Edit: By the way, I've heard we should get to the airport at least an hour usual as the usual guidelines. Has anyone flown out of Zürich lately? What are the lines like?

I didn't know that many people who were infected before this wave. Now I know a lot. Certainly this has been the worst wave for my social circle.

My great nephew just finished his final year of school and has only completed 3 weeks of the final term because of all the students and staff who've been off sick with it.

Departure From Heathrow & Malta had almost zero queues, arrivals a different story.

Most of the people I know who officially had COVID has zero or almost zero symptoms. An obese middle aged friend in Geneva spent 2 nights in hospital, so as always your health is key.

The SVP folk better be ready - this variant may not be any / much nastier when you have it but boy does it look infectious.

If you're going to get the Delta variant despite getting vaccinated, I hope the symptoms are milder than for those who aren't vaccinated otherwise, was the use of getting jabbed?

Drove across the DE-FR border Sunday; no controls.
Today (Tuesday) drove across FR from the Massif Central to the border after Biarritz. No controls.
Don't expect any controls at the ES/PT border either, but PT hotels seem to be demanding G3 proof.
Weather is cats & dogs.
