Most 30 something's in the UK are single vaccinated only.

I was waiting for Malta to issue the legal notice stating vaccinated visitors from tomorrow, with non vaccinated residents needing permission to leave or return. They backed down & require a PCR test plus quarantine for non vaccinated.

Malta's one of the EU countries turning away vaccinated Brits on the basis of the country of manufacture:

From the Telegraph:

"UK travellers with Indian-made AstraZeneca vaccine barred from holidays
Couple turned away from flight to Malta as row with EU over jabs that have been given to 5m Britons reignites."

Both sides need to immediately recognise each other's passports and vaccines. Beginning to make everyone look bad.

This could get interesting as several governors of red states are trying to ban vaccination passports. Also of key interest to anyone here planning a US cruise out of Florida which used to be very popular.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against Florida’s surgeon general in an effort to prevent the state from carrying out its so-called “vaccine passport” ban barring businesses from requiring customers to provide proof of vaccination.

In the lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Miami-headquartered cruise line argued that the state’s prohibition on vaccine requirements violate the First Amendment by blocking communications between a business and customers, as well as the Fourteenth Amendment by limiting the ability of a company to keep its employees and customers safe.

Seems to be a stretch to include the Fourteenth Amendment.
Simplified definition;
"No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

However, it is the case that the Fourteenth Amendment is interpreted as requiring States to not create laws that damage public health.

If Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings are successful there will likely be a rash of similar cases.

In the US International transport is regulated by the federal government. The states only have jurisdiction over intra-state transport.

I’m at Zurich airport right now and will be flying to Seattle with Icelandic.

1) Check in was fast but I was there 2.5 hours early
2) Had to show my antigen test certificate. They weren’t interested in the vaccine certificate.
3) Went to Terminal 1 security. No lines whatsoever.

4) I received an Attestation form for the USA which I need to sign. Basically it’s a legal document where I attest that I have received a negative pre-departure Covid 19 Test. I don’t know if this is available to download but I’d check into it.

Hope this helps anyone else who’s about to fly to the US.

Easy boarding into the plane. Masks are required which I’m grateful for. The flight is FULL. It’s weird sitting so long in such tight quarters with so many people.

Simply not been offered second yet.

The very youngest adults are currently being getting their first doses and second doses are starting to be rolled out to those in their late 30s. UK is still supply constrained.

I wish we would. We had to move our vacation to next year as the US borders are still closed for us.

Update:
Arrived safely at SeaTac.

1) Reykjavik airport is small but one can buy food for the connecting flight
2) My attestation was the only evidence needed to prove I had taken a COVID test. Basically, I was only asked in Zurich at the check in to present my antigen certificate.
3) I got caught at SeaTac for “smuggling” an apple that I had forgotten to eat. Those dogs are well-trained. Anyway, I had to have my complete luggage rescanned again but luckily that only added a few minutes to the whole immigration procedure. Remember: Dispense of all fruit before disembarking!
4) Masks were worn on the flight at all times except when eating.
5) I’ve forgotten how cramped the seats are. There’s not much wiggle room so bring a handy bag to store needed articles under the seat.
6) Free wifi on Icelandic from Zurich to Reykjavik. From Reykjavik to Zurich, you need to pay $12.
7) Traffic on I-5 sucks. We were caught in slow traffic around Tacoma due to a collision. It added an hour to our journey home. I wish Amtrak would add a stretch that goes right to the airport.

Edit: Saw two forest fires from the plane. It’s dry here and fires are raging near Chelan and the North Cascades. Canada as well. I wish we could send them some of our heavy rain storms because everything is as dry as tinder.

My name on my passport and on my Covid Pass did not match. (My health insurance card did not have my middle name and this went into the system.)

I changed it online with accompanying passport scan. Today I received the updated QR code by post. In all it took two weeks…

I noticed last week my Covid certificate was missing my middle name, which my ID and passports have. I e-mailed the central point to get it changed and it was all done electronically within 36 hours (allowing for 2 nights). This was in Graubünden

Could I ask what "the central point" is?

Has anyone confirmed that the full name is needed?
