Could I ask what "the central point" is?

Has anyone confirmed that the full name is needed?
Graubünden has a central office that deals with Covid vaccinations. As you're in Basel, do you need me to go hunting for the GR contact details?

Re: Covid vaccine and travel

On Friday we flew to Belgrade from Basel, via EasyJet. Thursday we went to the airport and got a PCR test - needed for entry into Belgrade. The Speedy Boarding bag drop was quite long, which I've never seen before. We had to present passport, boarding card and PCR certificates. Security was practically empty of passengers. The staff were friendly and courteous. Passport control was practically empty also - I guess it was just checkin/bag drop that was taking a long time.

The flight was full. Which felt quite odd.

Landing and immigration was ok. Usual ex-communist countries miserable officials! Had to present PCR certificate again.

Coming back, I checked the requirements again, but missed that Switzerland requires you to fill in a passenger locator form, so the lady at check-in gave us some. I found the online PLF and filled that in, but my wife filled in the paper one. We had to show our residency permits, in lieu of PCR test.

Security is as you board. My word, they were miserable. But it was quite hot, and they're working in a small room.

Plane not so full, which was nice. Captain said something about wearing masks, including "...covering your tiny tiny noses". They were very strict about it, with frequent reminders.

Passport control was great. They filter off residents and citizens, so even though we're now third country, we didn't queue for the passport checks.

Re: Covid vaccine and travel

If it is helpful for anyone, I flew United last week from the USA to Zurich and presented my Swiss covid vaccine certificate, which they did not accept. They wanted the vaccine book, which I also had with me.

I suppose they want you to write your name on it too ;-) (my front page is blank)

We have never waited as long as for this particular bag drop-off (90 minutes). No distancing, it did not feel good at all. The security, boarding and flight were fine. On arrival we presented the required forms, including my Swiss certificate and my kid's antigen test results from the Basel airport.

Coming back, I showed my certificate (in Swiss Covid app) at the point of departure but on arrival nobody asked me. Do they just assume we were all properly screened upon boarding? Nobody asked about the passenger locator form either, which I had duly filled out online, on departure or on arrival.

Edited to add: Nobody "read" the QR code on my Swiss covid certificate. They just looked at it at every one of the three points I had to show it.

My name on my passport and on my Covid Pass did not match. (My health insurance card did not have my middle name and this went into the system.)

I changed it online with accompanying passport scan. Today I received the updated QR code by post. In all it took two weeks…

**Canton Zurich
Same here. It took roughly a week for the new certificate to be made out in Canton Berne.

i am still waiting for the corrected certificate. Today it has been 10 days ... I was told I would get it within 7 days!

So I had to make quick tests, free in Switzerland, but had to pay in Italy.
I wonder whom I could send the bill to!

Re: Covid vaccine and travel

By the way, I flew on Thursday form Zurich to Italy and I wasn't asked either to show an ID nor to show any proof of Covid test nor vaccination! I only showed my online check-in document. Very strange!

But on the return on Sunday, the Italian were very thorough in checking all the paperwork.

Re: Covid vaccine and travel

Posting from the US:
US citizens will be able to travel to Canada as of August 9. There has been no decisions made on allowing Canadians into the US at this time.

It’s weird seeing Americans going to various other countries while not allowing any foreign visitors into their own borders. Doesn’t seem fair.

The mistake on my antigen certificate was corrected within an hour but I told them it was a priority situation.

I'm so envious of folks who can fly with Easyjet. It doesn't fly to my home country, never did. Bastards. I guess I'm "complaining" because we booked some expensive flights....such is life.

I hear you. I was very, very happy when they established this flight: it goes straight to the city where my parents live (during the summer season).

I wonder if it's due to the fact that Basel airport is in France? Maybe they check everyone who lands in Zürich?

I'm flying in 3 days from Poland to Geneva, hope the Swiss COVID app with my vaccination certificate is really all I need. That's what I assume from the current swiss leaflet.

As residents, you won't be asked on arrival. But on Monday, non-resident/Swiss, were being asked to show their certificates, before passport control.

Re: Covid vaccine and travel

Two vaccinated humans & a dog spent the last two weeks in Zealand, Denmark - traveling overland via France/Germany. Hotels in Germany (both directions) wanted to see proof of vaccination but didn’t check the QR code - just read it manually. A couple in front of us at check in were asked to get a test so it was being rigorously enforced. No checks in France as stayed with family.

Hotels/Museums (not shops) were the same story in Denmark - again everything checked manually but no request to show ID or correlate the name with the certificate. The weather was perfect for the two weeks so always ate outside so no demand from restaurants or cafes to see info. No request on the ferry either & customs just waved us into Denmark with no checks.

No need to wear masks in Denmark - but shops/hotels still require them in & around Bremen, Germany. The streets were bustling and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves & the sunshine.

Re: Covid vaccine and travel

I travelled by train today from Zürich to Frankfurt. No checks whatsoever.

I'm continuing to Amsterdam. Will see if the Dutch are any stricter.

Will maybe even try and smuggle a ham sandwich.

All the info you need it here - https://www.visitportugal.com/en/con...ented-portugal

Remember that you need to check 3 sets of rules for all travel:
Rules of entry for your destination
Rules of the carrier, airline, ferry, etc, if applicable.
Switzerland's rules for your return.
