Thanks. I remember one otherwise intelligent guy telling me that he didn't watch the BBC any more because it's unreliable and biased. He preferred RT.

No trace of irony whatsoever.
I recently tuned in to RT to get their take on Afghanistan. They seemed to think a lengthy interview with an ex-UKIP exponent was relevant

NotAllThere made a perfectly sensible statement, which basically says do not not believe everything you read wherever you read it. Not sure why you spitting venom again.

I totally undrestand what he says and congratulate him and am grateful he shared this with us.

But to go this far, after so many pages and fights to say something like "dont trust everything you see, even salt looks like sugar", I find it funny.

Especially because even though he said it and you confirmed it , my comment to you both was "hmmm yeah ok, but how come it's been 1 year and you trust everything that has been said" "no criticism at all to whatever MSM launched in this last year" .. you undrestand me better now???

Sorry but this is not twitter. You cant say something in just few lines because to think is a process and once you exchange then you can develop then add some elements to make it more fun or even amuse yourself.
True.

You'd probably get banned from Twitter (if you could manage to post something in less than 280 characters, which I sincerely doubt).

It was a joke post -it made me laugh anyway.

At the risk of explaining the joke, what comes after trot and canter?

With all due respect, your (sometimes garbled) verbosity might be the main issue. Tom’s 15k comment don’t

Sadly, neither do your not always balanced rants entice me to really follow your links. But I get it, I’m brainwashed by MSM. At least, so far, I have refrained from posting Findus memes…

No one mentioned you or asked what you want...

But you came here , have nothing to say on the topic but for me you wrote things and even sent me a song ??? How often do you think about me pls explain ?
are you sweating in the middle of the night and thinking "hmmm this FD said that well no no , that's not correct , I AM not brainwashed by the MSM" ?

Really dont know what to tell you because you know I wasnt typing things about you, tom, NotAll, Komso...But about the things they say, it's about the matter the substance.

Made a quick check at Amazon. I think the ivermectin used for humans is only sold under other brand names, the marketing drug names that end in -ol, -al and all that stuff. The medicines sold under the ivermectin name are for veterinary use. Also, the amount of active substance in milligrams is much higher for cows and horses.

From a certain perspective is totally OK to call ivermectin horse dewormer because commercially that's how it works. Popular culture is driven by commerce, so commercial truth is popular culture truth.

Of course, we know that whatever the name, ivermectine is also used for humans. But, what fraction of people do you expect to understand there's a brand/commercial name, an active substance and a concentration? There's a thread once a month here on EF about not getting a drug in Switzerland. Helpful EFers point that the drug exists under a different commercial name and they're surprised THESE PEOPLE are the ones that need the message that ivermectine is horse dewormer. If it's not for you, let it pass for the ones that truly need them.
Yes this issue is well known, I remember trying to get my hands on some paracetamol in the US a long time ago and no one had a clue what I was asking for. Turned out that there it was branded as Tylenol.

For Ivermectin though, this is definitely not OK to keep trying to discredit a drug by suggesting it's only meant for animals and suggesting its dangerous to take when it's clearly not. It's an FDA approved drug which one would have to take an awful lot of to cause any harm.

Quote:
Ivermectin was generally well tolerated, with no indication of associated CNS toxicity for doses up to 10 times the highest FDA-approved dose of 200 microg/kg.
Safety, Tolerability, and Pharmacokinetics of Escalating High Doses of Ivermectin in Healthy Adult Subjects

There's enough studies now to suggest there could be something in Ivermectin to aid the fight against Covid, without the need for the media to suggest that anyone who takes it is a slobbering idiot.

And this is exactly where the media have failed throughout this pandemic, they had a perfect opportunity to expose the lies, deceit and monstrous abuse of power. Instead they sold out and signed up to merely being government mouthpieces. Disgracing themselves and their profession in the process.

I agree.

Ivermectin came out in the 1970s and is on the WHO list of essential drugs. Now out of patent so no profit in it.
In the 1990s different mechanisms of action were known which lead to discussion about anti viral actions, so it works across all stages of Covid, both viral and then the inflammatory stages whereas dexamethasone is contra-indicated in the viral stage and life saving in the inflammatory stage.

About research / studies (there is a vast array)

A number of studies have shown ivermectin is ineffective. Here is such a very competent example of a double-blind, randomized trial with 476 patients.

Here is an article that debunks the Dr. Tess Lawrie video in great detail.

Please note since this article was written another oft-quoted study supporting ivermectin by Professor Hector Carvallo in Argentine has also been withdrawn due to data errors.

Yes thanks I do. Exactly what I have been talking about. If you don't want to take the vaccine (for whatever reason) it would be good to have a drug to treat. Why not ivermectin - why does it have to be a drug made by Pfizer? Just a question.

Do you understand the difference between 70% of poison calls and 70% of ivermectin related poison calls?
That 70% figure now also turns out to be total BS

It's remarkable how these reports of all these people getting sick from pumping themselves full drugs meant for animals turn out to be fake when the slightest verification check is made

It was exactly the same for Hydroxychloroquine last year, do people not learn?!

Quote:
This story was first published on Aug. 23, 2021. It was updated on Aug. 25, 2021 to correct that the number of calls to poison control about ivermectin was about 2%. Incorrect information provided by the Mississippi Department of Health had said the number was 70%.
