You do realise there's every chance that ivermectin could be "on" patent for Covid 19 very soon?

Patent applications publish 18 months from the priority filing so we are about to see the March 2020 ones come out... Provisional protection kicks in from publication.

Pretty much anyone who has an antiviral will have filed on it in March, April, May etc...

See https://worldwide.espacenet.com/pate...%20coronavirus

Seriously, if Pharma could get a new patent on an old drug and a 20 year term without having to worry about new manufacturing, formulation, safety etc. it'd jump on it.
Just referenced your link. Looks as though 20+ have applied for patents using Ivermectin. Not for you HVF, but for others...ask yourself why would so many companies apply for patents for Ivermectin - an off-patent drug - if there was no possibility of efficacy regarding COVID?

Thanks, of course.

I said you were the expert.

I believe some patent applications were made on the basis of significantly different dosages and frequency?
Indeed:

- formulations
- solid state
- dosing
- indications
- combinations
- patient sub groups

Are what done to mind for secondary patents.

The latter is the most controversial. Old drug, old indication, but with the new identification of a section of the population who benefit most from treatment.

And so Pharma reap the benefits again? During a "pandemic"? Re-Patenting a drug which should have been considered before the EUA vaccines were authorised? And you are okay with this? Wow!

Why would finding a drug that controls COVID-19 infections be a reason to not have a vaccine?

Millions of people suffering from covid going through a 10 day sickness including a 5 day Ivermectin course is not a good alternative to vaccine-induced immunity. The strain on medical resources to manage these sick patients would be enormous.

The title says it all. I'm curious where in Switzerland I can buy ivermectin?

Isn't it amazing how people need this kind of stuff spelling out to them, that they shouldn't take drugs intended for animals and instead use drugs intended for humans? Maybe its better to just let people use all of these things and let natural selection take its' course.

So yet again an instance of good ole Pharma reaping profits! What a travesty!! Once off patent, always off patent in my view...
Luckily, you are not the USPTO. If you would view the history of Soolantra, you would understand why things are patented in new formulations.

Re: Where to buy ivermectin?

hahaha this is so funny

Soolantra (ivermectine, Mectizan, stromectol) has been used for some 45y in our pharmacology and now look at this funny propaganda kicking in

Ivermectine (goes under other names too) is for HUMANS. End of story.
It can be used for children, adults ..

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is also ivermerctine for animals and it comes in different forms, ca be injectable; oral liquid, powder, pour-on; and capsules.

Against ectoparasite and endoparasites.

But on the other hand people use hemorrhoid ointment in their face and swear it irons out their wrinkles.

While we all know that your research, reading and comprehension abilities are the equivalent of an 11 year old pre-teen, the current warnings against Invermectin are that:
  1. Ivermectin, an antiparisitic drug, has only had as yet preliminary inconclusive human trials for COVI19 effectiveness and not yet approved for use to treat COVID19.
  2. There is a lot of misinformation around saying large doses of it are ok, which is not the case as it is dangerous. Facebook ads are also advertising it as a solution for COVID198.
  3. Ignorant/desperate people are actively seeking out the animal versions of ivermerctine, which is definitely not safe for humans. Facebook ads also advertise it as a treatment for people.

Don't know, cows and horses can digest grass and use it as source of energy for living. Their guts work in a different way, different absorption rates, damn....they have a different digestive system.

In case of doubt, just think about cow tripe. We don't have that, but we eat it. By the way, I love how the Swiss prepare kutteln (cow tripe) with molten cheese on top. No way you eat this and feel cold during winter

Maybe we should adopt cud-chewing as well, while we're at it.

Chuff, I'm young at heart, my sparkly eyes and effervescent voice and neverending desire to make jokes make me childish and that disturbs your high IQ .

Am I shaking your cage too vigoursly? Are you scared your mask may fall of and I better let you go so you can hide behind your sofa in case covid pops in ?

Now that you're so obsessed with me I see how you're quoting my last comment. But that last comment is made as a comment to someone who commented on someone else's comment and so on.

Here's my comment few pages ago...
https://www.englishforum.ch/3341453-post38.html

And you can see how I make a huge distinction from Ivermectine a mild (human) drug that can treat intestinal and other problem

And Ivermectine as a protocol in treating Covid (retroviruses in general)
I even put an accent on the fact how I wont even get the ivermectine from a simple GP but from a doctor who really knows and understands the ivermectine covid protocol.

If you have more questions I am here to help.

Ahh but of course... you were replying to someone else's post, who was replying to someone else's post a few pages back... without using any quotes or other visual indicators that would make that even remotely clear to any reader. Makes perfect sense, silly me.

What "official procedure" for using Ivermectin against COVID19 would that be? I assume you mean unscrupulous doctors who behave unethically by giving drugs to people, outside of clinical trials, for unapproved uses.

There is no such thing as a safe drug, it all comes down to the size of the dose and frequency of the doses.

Even before people were using the drug for coronavirus, there were plenty of cases of illness caused by the human version of ivermectin, Serious adverse reactions associated with ivermectin

Paracetamol is recommended for treating coronavirus but the daily safe level is low, and overdosing can lead to death especially for people who regularly drink alcohol.

At least two people have been hospitalized in Mississipi with potential ivermectin toxicity after they ingested the livestock formula of the drug.

The Alabama Poison Information Center at Children’s of Alabama has fielded 24 ivermectin exposure cases so far this year,

According to the Texas Poison Control network, ivermectin exposure calls have increased by 38 over the last year. In August 2020, there were no cases of ivermectin poisoning, but so far this August, there have been at least 16.

Kentucky Poison Control Center Director Ashley Webb said at low levels of toxicity people may experience rash, headache, nausea or vomiting after ingesting ivermectin. “In more severe cases, we've seen seizures and coma,” she said. “You can have potential respiratory and cardiovascular collapse, low blood pressure, or potentially stop breathing.”

The Oregon Poison Center at OHSU says that it is fielding a large number of calls for the anti-parasitic drug ivermectin of late, as some people misuse the drug to ward off COVID-19.

Well, the thread may change to the new popular drug: fluvoxamine.

Researchers made an experiment with 1000+ patients and found this cheap and generic antidepressant worked better than a placebo in reducing the fraction of people getting hospitalized after a covid19 diagnostic.

Marton&Chuff bros, you two are not doing Research, Science by doing google and just reading headlines and MSM.

That's like watching all day tv and in the end you feel like an expert on nutrion, food, just because you watched 25 ads on strawberry yogurt, 14 ads on magnum, 25 ads on burger king 22 ads on coca-cola .. And you even end up with a sceintific conclusion how - That food is great! Just in moderation but nothing bad there
