Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without sideeffecs?

Same story as a lot of you.
I had my second moderna on Wednesday. Fever, chills and pain everywhere on Thursday, which made me stay on the sofa all day. So the usual suspects.

But yesterday I noticed that my BCG scar is red. Today the red area is getting bigger, and sore to the touch. I had my Moderna injection in the same arm. So perhaps if you had a BCG vaccine from a previous life, might be something to consider that you don’t have your second injection in the arm you had your BCG vaccine.

Anyone else experienced this?

2nd day post 2nd Pfizer: Feel fine. Yesterday skipped deadlifts for kettlebell swings because felt a bit fatigued during warmups, but I think I'll deadlift today. The point is I could still train even a day after the shot, so the side effects from Pfizer are pretty minimal, as reported.

My mom and dad (in their 60s) both got Pfizer a few months ago, and my mom was a bit tired the next day and my dad felt fine and went to work.
If tinnitus persists, I wouldn't train, take a rest. Sleep a lot. Like - ton. Maybe go to a spa and get massages? But I think we quite often ignore some signals, especially when we really want to feel 'back to normal' fast after something. Maybe 'back to normal' should be re-designed if you still have some abnormal symptoms and thet persist. Just my 2c, and I am a gym girl.

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without sideeffecs?

A summary almost a week after the second dose.

Vaccine at 14h00, that day between the vaccine and going to sleep nothing remarkable happened, except Switzerland kicked out France of the Euro 2020

Next morning the symptoms were similar to the normal flu. The light joint and muscle pain, and slow thinking, lasted from 9h00 to 17h00 the day after the vaccine. The most remarkable symptom was feeling extremely sad and nostalgic during that day. Then, gone and not returned since them.

The pain in the shoulder area was not remarkable. It hurt to reach the jam jar in the cupboard for a couple days. No more.

But......for socializing purposes wife and me found out is cool to complain a lot and make drama like a footballer falling to the grass hands covering the face. People that got the vaccine feel like heroes that endured one of Hercules' tasks and antivaxxers get the pleasure of saying I told you so. So, complaining about symptoms achieves the miracle of making everyone of your acquaintances happy

I have an appoint. for physiotherapy the next day after my second shot but reading about all these reactions here I decided to postpone it. My back can wait...OH didn't feel very well after his second Moderna shot but I thought he just liked to be pampered a bit...

It's always good to complain a little, you seem suspicious if you say you're doing great...

(I'm kidding, I found your post hilarious and spot on)

That was remarkable. Thanks so much for taking your jab exactly then or it may never have happened.

Too bad nobody took the vaccine on Friday at 14.00h

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without side-effects?

I had my second 9am yesterday. Been absolutely fine apart from "Covid Arm". Shot one I could barely move arm for 2 days, second time it's better but has gone very red and swollen, painful to touch.

An Apotheke worker (pharmacist) told me not long ago that sometimes people can have an allergic skin reaction to the shot, and that if the injection area becomes red and swollen, Fenistil gel will (or should) help. I just thought I'd mention that in case that's what you're dealing with.

Wonder if Fenipic would work. The boxes look the same and I have some at home.

It probably wouldn't hurt to try it at least. It says Fenipic is used more for insect bites. And if that doesn't help, then maybe tomorrow you could get some regular Fenistil gel, which is more for skin allergies.

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without side-effects?

After the 1st Moderna vaccine-

Day 2- I got red/pink patch, 5 inches long, 3 inches wide, 2 inches away from the injection site.

Day 3-4, it went away.

Day 7-8, the patch came back

Day 9-10, it went away.

Day 12, it is back again, so for the third time?

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without side-effects?

I’m getting my shot in an hour, probably Moderna (it looks like CHUV is keeping Pfizer for second doses). Considering I had COVID last September, I get only one dose. Will report back with my side effects!

If your COVID was more than 6 months ago you can still get 2 doses. My friend did that.

How long have you had it? Apart from day 2, I never had any pain.

The third time red patch that appeared this morning has already gone. My body must have fully updated the firmware to the latest available version.

Curious to see what Vac. No.2 will do to me

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without side-effects?

Got my 2nd shot on Friday morning. Moderna.
Had shivering on Friday night plus slight fever. Could not sleep much. Slept through most of Saturday. Was feeling better on Sunday. Hit the gym.
Soreness in arm has gone. But still feel a bit tired. Hoping it gets better.

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without side-effects?

So, I got my Moderna shot yesterday (mono dose , since I was tested positive last September).

My injection arm was immediately slightly painful, and it got gradually worse. Not agony, but it really hurts to raise it past my shoulder.

This morning I was feeling a bit under the weather, and it’s getting more disagreeable as the hours pass. Tiredness and muscle pains mostly, and a very slight fever.

All in all, it’s not as severe as a flu, but I’m happy to have it planned at the beginning of my holidays to take it easy at home.

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without side-effects?

It's been more than 24h since my first Moderna shot yesterday, still alive - practically no issues. Have to slap the shoulder to notice anything.
Is it really the case that only on the 2nd vaccination the horror stories unfold?
