5 mins after taking the first Moderna vaccine, I was in high spirits and doing the 15min wait thing and surfing the web. Then suddenly, my head went BOOM! As if my head was getting deflated, and I felt out of my body. This lasted for 2-3 mins but really freaked me out, I kept calm, and it passed.
Had same feeling after first dose .. it was more of a TING than BOOM for me and felt something was rushing through out the body.. lasted same 2-3 mins

Day 7. Still elevated body temperature. I'm getting fed up with this.

Better than covid though!
Did you get a chance to talk with Doc? hope you feel better soon.

Any idea what caused that? (Serious question)

I guess that was during the 15 min. wait right after the shot. Why didn't you ask the doctor there? If anyone then they would have had an explanation.

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without sideeffecs?

Got my second dose on Monday. Body pains, chills and headache started on next day and lasted 2 days.

I had no impact with first dose except some pain in arm.

Glad this is done now. Hope we wont need a booster.

I did. He said that I wouldn't have a reaction to the vaccine so fast. He said, maybe "it" was just circulating, or maybe I was nervous.

- Well, I was absolutely not nervous. If anything, I was in high spirits and happy that I finally had my first jab done!
- I don't know what he meant by "it was circulating". Maybe he meant Moderna 5G chip was circulating

I was thinking inside, why are people being made to wait 15mins if they can't have a reaction so fast? I don't think the doc had an explanation, nor do I

This is what happens when the chip manages to break through bull-headed patients.

The extremely rare chance of an anaphylaxis shock (which will occur quickly).

That's not just for the COVID-vaccine, it's for any injection.

I'm surprised the doctor didn't say that.

I assumed for the same reason you normally have to stick around after giving blood. People who are a bit wary of needles or the sight of blood can feel a bit lightheaded in the minutes following an encounter with a needle. (I am a bit of a fainter myself. ) Also, rare but serious severe anaphylactic shock manifests itself within minutes, no?

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without sideeffecs?

Still no news on Toms wife's state of health after the vaccine.
Considering we all know the entire life-stories of an extremely extended family including ex-husbands back to about the 17th century, this seems a bit disturbing.

I believe it took a few days (about a week) for it to develop. I'm not sure exactly, but when I get a chance to ask her, I'll edit this if it's not correct.

It's probably worth it to double check with the doctor about the shingles. One of my students had shingles recently, but she hasn't had the vaccine yet and is also concerned. She was infected with covid last year as well, in her home country.

My ears are quite annoying right now, but I'm still planning on getting the second shot. Tinnitus can have other triggers, and I've suffered the past month from allergies and that nasty RSV virus before I got the shot. Everything was piled on top of each other. On top of that, I suddenly changed my diet a couple of weeks ago because I discovered I gained 5 kilos from the lockdown. So who knows why my ears are ringing.
I wonder if your ears ringing could have something to do with the RSV virus that you mentioned you recently had. I also am getting over the nasty RS virus that's been going around, and my sinuses were so funky that my inner ear(s) felt strange for a while.

Apparently, there are some apps that you can use to help with tinnitus (basically, a certainly frequency or something that you sleep to, which is supposed to counteract the tinnitus). I have no idea how well it works, though, as I've never tried it.

I think Tom had gone in and edited his first post about it (where he mentioned that his wife was sleeping) and added a P.S. at the end of that post, where he mentioned that his wife was feeling fine.

Yes.

Her arm is still somewhat inflamed, however.

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without sideeffecs?

Question (1st injection) -
I have a pinkish light patch that has developed but it is not on the injection site but 2 inches away, Moderna arm still or Moderna arm is on the actual injection site only?
Some soreness but I went gym the day after the vaccine and continue to train.

I had my second shot yesterday at noon. All was fine until I went to sleep but I got some fever in the night. Waiting now for the ibuprofen to do its job.

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without sideeffecs?

My colleague (mid to late 50's) was off sick yesterday, a couple of days since he had the second Moderna jab, so it got progressively worse for him. Guess he recover over the weekend.

I have my second early next week so I am curious to see how it will affect me.

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without sideeffecs?

I had my 2nd shot on Monday.
Both times no symptoms beyond what's to be expected from a punctured muscle.

ETA:
Got Moderna.

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without sideeffecs?

Since Moderna is common in Switzerland, I'm sharing this bit of info. The U.S. FDA has added a warning about cardiac side effects related to Moderna. It's mostly in younger males.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/25/healt...ing/index.html

After the vaccination, if you start to feel shortness of breath, chest pain, a fluttering sensation, etc. it's probably a good idea to call the doc or head to A&E to get checked out. Just in case.

It seems Pfizer results in fewer side effects than Moderna.

Re: Anybody got the second Moderna shot without sideeffecs?

Regarding adverse events within 15 minutes of vaccination and/or anaphylactic shock: about a week ago a 56-year-old woman died in Greece c. 10 minutes after her second Pfizer shot:

https://greekreporter.com/2021/06/18...fizer-vaccine/

Staying at the scene proves valuable in such an instance, even though medics ultimately could not save her. Given her preexisting conditions and causation/correlation unknowns -- and how easily such a rare case may nonetheless fan undue fears -- this news seems to have remained underreported for good reason.
