Orthopedic surgeon Basel

Hello,

I have just arrived in Basel and unfortunately it looks like I have a meniscus tear and might need knee surgery.
Would anyone be able to recommend a good orthopedic surgeon? Is it usually better to go to the hospital doctors or any independent?

Thanks a million in advance for your help.

Switzerland is pretty used to sports type injuries.
The top surgeons will work in several hospitals. The difference is really the standard of room which either you or your insurance will pay for.

Re: Orthopedic surgeon Basel

Go and see your GP (find one if you haven’t already) - you’ll need an MRI then they’ll refer you to a surgeon if needed.
