Swiss vaccine certification for vaccine received abroad

Is it possible to get a Swiss vaccine certification for a vaccine received in another country (specifically, the US where one receives a paper CDC card as proof)? If so, how does one go about this?

My son got his first shot here and will get his second one in the States. His Swiss doctor will register his second shot here and arrange for the Swiss Certificate.

Were you vaccinated with one of the brands approved in Switzerland?

Well said. right now it's more a question of hope, as there are no clear rules, it's kind of up to whatever the person in charge that day decides.

BTW if somebody want's a contact to reach for the kanton of Schaffhausen, PM me.

For other Kantons I don't have contacts, but try to talk to somebody, it will improve your changes a lot if you can talk to somebody on the phone and you are nice to them so that they get an interest in helping you.

I do not think it is high on their priority list to make a rule for everyone at the moment -it will be when more tourists arrive here and want entry to events.
I got no reply to my email, but on the phone got directed to the lucerne application site which simply asks for a scan of the vaccination document and dates, type of vaccine and place of vaccination. All one can do at the moment is apply, but as TIS, each Canton is probably going to approach it differently.

Here is the link to the Swiss Bundesamt für Gesundheit/Federal Office of Public Health website. Scroll down to another link for all of the Cantonal websites: https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home...ertifikat.html

For anyone in Kanton Zurich here is the direct link: https://www.zh.ch/de/gesundheit/coro...hYc#-792208150
Then go to the "Im Ausland Geimpfte" and upload residence permit and proof of vaccination.
Super efficient and straightforward

I wonder if they would take Johnson and Johnson, which is approved in Switzerland by Swissmedic, but not being rolled out here?

I wonder is it necessary to convert if one has EU digital certificate? Bag said they will be interoperable. So I suppose it will make no difference.

EU digital certificates will be recognized:

https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home...tml#1991222333

as long as I understand, the technical interoperability is already present, but the formal approval has still to arrive from all institutions. It should (hopefully) be a matter of days...

Re: Swiss vaccine certification for vaccine received abroad

Vaud did not accept a CDC card since it didn't have a stamp. This is what they needed:

Quote:
Attestation of vaccination featuring an identification code such as QR, AZTEC, any barcode, or an official stamp from the vaccination center
