Mums and Mums to be in Nyon

Hello!
I was wondering if there are any English speaking mums or mums to be groups in Nyon. I am almost 8 months pregnant and now on maternity leave and would love to meet some lovely people to hang out with and get the gossip on being a mum in Switzerland. If there are no groups yet in Nyon, is there anyone interested in forming one?

Re: Mums and Mums to be in Nyon

I don't know of such a group in Nyon, but there is one in Lausanne
The Mums and Mums 2B meet up at Starbucks (Rue de St. Laurent, Lausanne).
I haven't been able to participate yet myself unfortunately.
As soon as things are a little less busy, I will join too.

Sometime ago, I found a great blog from a Lausanne mom, she has a lot of usefull info there, and she also posts the The Mums and Mums 2B meetup dates in the event list.

Re: Mums and Mums to be in Nyon

Thanks so much . I do know about the group in Lausanne and there is also one in Geneva that I found out about. The blog looks great too! What a cool idea. I was just hoping that there were some mums a bit closer to home. Thanks for your ideas, though. Nice to hear from you,
Shireen

Re: Mums and Mums to be in Nyon

We're just about to move to Nyon from Zug, in central Switzerland, with two small children, aged 4 and 5.

I'm sad to be leaving lots of good friends, but looking forward to making new ones. Fancy meeting up for a cup of tea?

Hey there

You may want to subscribe to the following yahoo group, their meetings are usually a little too far away for us but I believe they regularly meet up in and around Nyon area

Good Luck!

You should check out 'GEMS' based in Nyon (Group of English-Speaking Mothers), formally known as 'MOPS' (Mother's of Preschoolers). GEMS is a weekly meet-up aimed at inspiring moms through various speakers, discussion groups and activities - while, the kiddies are off playing in age-specific groups. PM me if you need contact details.

Re: Mums and Mums to be in Nyon

Hi I read your message with interest as I am expecting my third child and I am finding it very daunting since my other two children are at school. I would be great to meet up with other English speaking mums and would be grateful if you could let me have the contact details for GEMS.

Many thanks

Re: Mums and Mums to be in Nyon

Hi, I am new in Nyon but I do have few friends here who are mothers and few who are trying, including myself If you're up for coffee I would be happy to meet some lovely people in Nyon to hang out with. I just got married and I don't work so I have a lot of time to make new friends.
