Spend for kid

I have a friend, he in process about to divorce with his wife.He got 1 daughter. He went to court and settle everything. So,he got demand by court ask him to pay 3000CHF everymonth for his ex-wife (this is for his daughter finance),where his ex-wife got the right to take care of their kid.
My question is, 3000CHF,staying in Arlesheim,Basel,is it too much for him to pay his wife with kid,or is it too little with this 3000CHF?

It's based on his means, how the wife is used to living and what the judge believes to be fair. If the guy earns 10-12k per month then it's probably too little, if he earns 5k, then it's probably too much.

Re: Spend for kid

Thank You for your reply.I believe he earn ~5000CHF only. his wife also got permanent to stay in his house that he got together before and his wife already sold car (car is wife name but husband do finance),and take all the money she got for the car she sold. Im not sure how the judge make the decision and also im not sure either my friends fight for it or not. His current girlfriend actually is my friend. Do you think my friend boyfriends can fight to get his right so the monthly that he need to spend to his daughter can get decrease a bit?

Re: Spend for kid

Related thread is here and a link ( Canton SZ but good as a guide ).

His commune can provide a means tested financial aid either to him or to cover his maintenance obligations.
