Re: English speaking doctors in Zurich

Hi! I can't recommend anyone specifically in Zurich but i've been to two doctors here in Winterthur and they both speak excellent english. I pointed this out to them and they said all doctors have to know english because all their medical studies are in english. Not sure if this is true all throughout switzerland but that's what they said. Also met some medical students the other night and their english was great too come to think of it...

I would say it is because no matter which country I have ever travelled to the two people you can always rely on speaking English is a doctor and a pharmacist.

Re: English speaking doctors in Zurich

My pediatrician is awesome-she's very patient, kind, and great with our little girl (who just turned 1 year old). She has also correctly and quickly diagnosed all of the (minor) illnesses our daughter has had so far, so we really trust her. Her English is very good (though like all doctors I've seen here, there are a few blips-think of it as a chance to learn a bit of German as well).

She's close to Bahnhof Wipkingen or Schaffhauserplatz

Re: English speaking doctors in Zurich

Hello,

I'm looking for English speaking doctors as well. Does anyone know any good English-speaking GP in Zurich city centre who accepts new patients?

Thanks much!

Re: English speaking doctors in Zurich

Our pediatrician is super and from what I understand, is accepting new patients:

Dr. med. Francine Walser
Stampfenbachstrasse 155
8066 Zurich
T:044 350 48 28

Also, the thread title and previous note referenced 'doctors' more generally, so if you need an OB/GYN, I have recommended mine on another thread:

She is exceptional. I highly-recommend her.

I have seen Dr Angela Caddick. She is a member of a practice that is very close to Stadelhofen station / Bellevue tram interchange. She is a British trained GP, knows her stuff and lives here with a family of her own so knows and understand medical practices here as well - best of both worlds really

Contact details

Dr Martin Smith and Dr Angela Caddick
Stadelhoferstrasse 42,
