Hello everyone,

My husband is currently working in Lausanne and I am hoping to join him with our two children (aged 6 and 9) in the summer for a year. He currently lives in a one bed apartment but we would obviously be looking for a larger place to stay near to a good state school.

Could anyone give us advice as to what we could expect to pay for a modest two bed apartment close to a good state school? I have heard that Mon Repos is a good area for schools but that may be out of our price range. We also need to factor in health insurance for the four of us.

Also - are the Swiss school terms the same as in the UK (Sep-July?). I am a primary school teacher int he UK and am hoping to take unpaid leave for an academic year.
