Swiss Female [divorce] Trend[?]

It's painful to hear more stories about divorce in this forum.

I am wondering if this is an actual trend for Swiss ( or EU national) females getting married to non-EU (from west and eastern countries)

On the contrary, Swiss males (generally) getting married to non-EU females tend to have strong bonds for life and stay together.

Why is this so called "Swiss Female" trend

Do you have any link to any news story on this subject, or perhaps some statistics backing any of this up (especially the part about Swiss males with non-EU females?) Or is this just something based on your own observations?

I think you might potentially open a can of worms with a post like this - best to be a little more clearer about what you mean and back it up with something. That said - let the games begin...

I don't see anything on the page you link to supporting your claim...
I haven't seen any particular trend as you describe in my corner of the world. In fact, I've seen the opposite. Three eastern European women who have left their Swiss husbands almost the day their Swiss passport arrived!

http://www.binational.ch/en/fragen/vorbemerkung.html

"There is hardly any difference as far as gender is concerned: in 55 % of mixed couples seeking divorce the female part is Swiss, and in 45 % the male part is Swiss. As far as statistics go numbers on marriage and divorce do not point to a major difference between non-Swiss/Swiss and Swiss/Swiss couples".

Nothing big as I thought, just 10 % difference.

Re: Swiss Female [divorce] Trend[?]

By the time a woman is more than ready to leave her husband/marriage on the day her passport arrives - can you try to imagine what she has had to endure and how much she has been waiting for that day of freedom?!
