The Frauenklinik I think would be a logical option. Not sure about birthing classes. They also have maternity at Lindenhofspital I think. Or at least, some gynocologists deliver there. Do you need a gyno? I have two names recommended to me by my doctor in bern...

Re: Birthing courses and maternity hospitals in Bern

I had my baby at the Frauen Klinik and they were great, although I have heard high recommendations for the Salem spital if you don't want to go to such a big hospital which is actually also a teaching hospital.

Sue Brailey is british midwife and does do prenatal courses. She's very pro natural which is no bad thing but we managed to do a course with 2 other couples which was nice to be introduced to other couples expecting their first baby.

Her website is http://www.midwife-hebamme.ch/deutsch/index_d.html

Best of luck!

from my experience, we got as much out of the DVDs we bought over the Internets as we felt we might have got from courses. Mind you, we did buy the DVDs before the 3rd trimester so could call it either way.

I'm assuming it's your first?
