Nyon to Geneve

Hello!
We are moving to Nyon next month from Eaux-vives(Geneve)
and my son(3 year old) love his garderie(4 morning a week) in Eaux-vives.
Just for this semester, 2 more months, we are willing to let him go to the
garderie, but is there any way to do that?
I mean by train +bus, or by cay is too hectic to do that.
I found there is commute boat bet Nyon and Geneve, but seems like it is not working now?
Is anybody has some Idea, pleas/

thank you!

Oh that's going to be a tough one. Unless you live near the Nyon Train station and the Garderie is close to Geneva station then I don't see how it can be done.

Driving is not an option - there is always a big traffic jam going into Geneva each morning on the autoroute.

Sorry

Re: Nyon to Geneve

Well Nyon is on the Direct train line to Geneva. Use the Sbb website www.sbb.ch to work out how to get there by transport

ICN takes 13mins to Cornavin, then take the tram for the rest. If the creche is worth it, I would go under 45mins, but probably not longer. Trains are incredibly interesting for toddlers. Nyon is a quiet town, your kid might enjoy all the extra commotion.

Re: Nyon to Geneve

Unless you work close to la garderie of your son, it is absolutely not worth the hassle to drive from Nyon to Geneva in the morning as getting through Geneva rush hour traffic can take more than 1 hour. At 3 years old he'll forget quickly.

Re: Nyon to Geneve

Yes, as other posters said, the commute from Nyon to Eaux-vives will not be very easy. Probably best to take train to Gare Cornavin, and then mouette across to eaux-vives, or walk, but it will be more like 30-45 min or more one way.

If you are in Nyon for any length of time, perhaps look at enrolling in one of the creches there. I would recommend La Boironette, http://www.boironette.ch
