Re: International Adoptions: where to begin?

Dear Angela

I really feel for you. It makes me very emotional to read your story.

And I'm glad that you have decided to write the letter. As I'm thinking, if you can defend yourself or write a counter argument, it helps to understand better a really weird and unfair situation.

Feeling tired, so sorry for my possibly wrong choice of words.

My best wishes to you. And some really good thoughts and a strong letter. Show them some teeth

I assume you already have this address - Nicole Hächler is the boss there.

I guess I'm not clear on how they can have so many requests yet still have so many children in need. I bet a lot of even the adoptable ones have to wait for years for all the bureau crap....I just wish the process can be sped up because the longer the children suffer the greater their chances of suddenly becoming "un-adoptable" due to health, emotional, or psychological reasons. So sad.
Yes it is sad, it is ture that since Dr Campana became the president of the adoption office in Peru things have got a lot faster, but still there are so many children and mostly people just wwant to adopt babies

Re: International Adoptions: where to begin?

Hi, I am wondering if there is anyone out there who has adopted/is adopting from Switzerland in one of the following Countries:
- Haiti
- Czech Republic
- Armenia

and wants to share their experience.

My husband and I have been considering international adoption for a while and have been told that these Countries give couples the chance to adopt small children (aged 0-3).

Cheers

Re: International Adoptions: where to begin?

Dear Carole, earlier this year (2014) we enquired into Haiti and were told that the age limit is 50 so we opted for a different country.
If you would like more info about other countries, please join us at http://www.facebook.com/groups/AdoptionSwitzerland
Bye, Tanya
