Suggestions please - we need a Maternity Nurse

Not sure if anyone can help, but my wife is 6 months pregnant and we are looking for a great maternity nurse or overnight nanny with good baby care experience.

We used a great service in London called Night Nannies but there doesn't seem to be a similar service in Geneva area.

Does anyone know good maternity nurses? Sometimes they work as nurses in paediatric hospitals and work when they're off shift...

Help please!!

Re: Suggestions please - we need a Maternity Nurse

If you are insured here, some of the insurance policies offer up to ten visits of the midwifes to check up on your wife and baby after the delivery. Then, there are lactation consultants, etc. But haven't heard anything regarding overnight ped care in our area, we got up to our kid ourselves and all the friends I know here..An experienced nanny, perhaps? You could contact a pediatrician that you count on using when the baby is here and ask him/her? How about calling the maternity dept in University hosp in Geneva? You could also place an add asking for a nanny with an experience specifically with newborns?

hello

we brought our maternity nurse from england. if you want agencies names we used please do let me know.

I have a maternity nurse contact details in the UK. I've used her when my baby arrived and she was excellent. She does jobs outside the UK. By contacting her directly you can save on agency fees. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Hello,
I know your post is a little old, so my apologies if this reply is a little late.
Did you find a maternity nanny/nurse?
There are a number of agencies in the UK, but obviously you then have the travel expenses.
I am an Nanny with over 10 years experience of all ages. I have just finished a job with a family I was with for 7 years and am an now looking to specialize in Maternity Nannying (a maternity nurse is the name used, however as most people fulfilling this role are not trained nurses it is a little deceiving).
I am also looking at setting up an Agency in Switzerland and would like to gauge the interest of this.
Please PM me if I can be of any assistance.
Regards
Julie

Hello, I have come across this post while searching for a night nanny. I have investigated UK night nannies but with travel expenses and agency fees it is too expensive. Does anyone have any Swiss-based suggestions?!

Charming reply. Due to a life-threatening illness, and associated exhaustion, I simply need a bit of help. Thanks for your judgement. Really helpful.

Re: Suggestions please - we need a Maternity Nurse

Hello all!
Has been some time since there was activity in this post.
We are looking for a maternity nurse for up to 3 months beginning 2019 close to Zürich. We would be very happy for direct recommendations, so that we don’t need to use an agency.
Tgank you.
