| | Dentist in Zürich
Hello all,
First post here. So here is the deal - I need to find a dentist in Zürich who will be able to see me tomorrow. It is an emergency, and I want to see the dentist as soon as possible.
Also, I have CSS insurance, but I don't think they cover dentists. That, however, is immaterial for now.
Thanks

I live in Zurich but I use this dentist:
dr med dent Raimer Oberholzer
Metzergasse 8B

The guy is see is Dr Schmidt.
It's about 45 min from Zurich, to Aarau then tram to Suhr.

Umm, that's a bit too far. I am in the middle of exams, so would prefer something in Zurich. (I live near Seilbahn Rigiblick).

Yeah, it is a bit far. I don't like doctors or dentists, so I need a strong personal recommendation before I will go. And I have freinds near Suhr. But he is good.
Best of luck.
To be honest- dentists in Ch? They're all pretty good. |

Zahnaerzte Haus Bellevue Apotheke
Theaterstrasse 14, 8001 Zürich
Tel. 044 262 11 11 - 24 hours
(I was there once for an emergency with the husband, treatment was fine and the dentist also spoke English.)
That's the official emergency number of the dentists in Zuerich, where they can advise which dentists are on duty this night:
Notfall Region Zürich Stadt Tel. 0844 40 04 00
Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks a lot guys. I am going to hit one of these places, first thing in the morning. Also, I have been advised to check the Universitatsspital as they might also have dentists. (I don't know whether they do or not). Since that is very close to my place, I am going to go there first and then head to one of these places if that does not work out.
Maybe someone can tell me whether the Universitatsspital is worth the trip or not.
Thanks a lot for the help everyone. |

So, I went to the Swiss Smile at the Hauptbahnof. They were the closest to my place, and definitely the easiest place to reach as well.
Their knowledge of English was more than adequate so I would count myself as being satisfied on that front. The problem (the crown on my tooth which had had root canal treatment had come off) was fixed. They were able to reattach the crown quickly.
A quick job (15 minutes) including the X-ray. And total cost a reasonable (by Swiss Standards) CHF 108.50.
Call me impressed with their service. Recommended.

Phew - just got an emergency dental appointment with Swiss Smile (first Google hit for "dentists near hauptbahnhof) and good to hear that they're decent. Cheers for the info about them |

hello
I know this is a very old post, but I am interested in Swiss Smile for dental cleaning first, and a gum check.
Any experiences?
Thanks

I have been twice and had two different experiences. The cleaning was rather rough, although it had been about 2yrs since my last one. The visit with the dentist was great.
My boyfriend has had a tooth replacement and a filling done there and been happy with both. A few of the swiss guys I work with go there because the hours they are open.
All that said, I got a letter from them today telling me its time for another check up and I am going to go back.
