Hi,

Anyone with experience of a very good english speaking Optometrist? I have noticed a small black spot in my vision and would very much like to go to a good doctor to have this checked out before it may become a problem.

Any recommendations in the zurich area or great zurich area would be appreciated

This much I know: the University Hospital's Augenklinik has a long waiting list, and even then, you will need a doctor's referral to make an appointment.

If you need only an optometrist then you can go to any optician-store close to you and ask if they speak English, I am pretty sure it will be easy to find

I actually had an eye emergency only yesterday and although i didn't end up going, i did speak with someone at www.tazz.ch and found them to be efficient and friendly. If you are seeing spots you should really get it checked today.

Thanks to kbill, I managed to get an appointment with a doctor at Tazz, yesterday.
The staff were indeed friendly and professional.

The spot and floaters were caused by retinal tearing, and it is an emergency that needs to be acted upon immediately.
I would recommend anyone who has had it to get the eyes checked as soon as possible.

As someone who relies on public transport, Tazz was really easy to get to as well.
