celebrate, party, get drunk, walk around the house naked, scratch your balls with impunity, go clubbing, meet new people, get those projects that you didn't have time to do done, spend the extra money on gadgets, invite mates round for poker/beers, enjoy the peace and quiet.

(and learn to spell in topic titles)
I do not spend the money on gadgets - she does... and they gadgets in Asia are in any way cooler than here.

But I like the idea of a project. Since I live in a rental appartment, nothing in that direction. Since you are not allowed to "touch" any car/bike in the parking anything in that direction would be difficult either... so I am not really having an idea yet...

P.S: The EF has great Mods which enjoy nothing more than fixing typos in thread titles.

... for some months due to a project to work on the other side of the world?

What video gaming console is currently the best?
Where do people actually go out in Zurich?
What do all those singles do in their free time?

If you really want to enjoy the world of gaming, and you don't have to look cool inf ront of a female. Highend PC gaming is the way to go.

1080 will look like crap to you after you've tried a shooter on 3x 1600 monitors with GPUs that could run a small country.

Nerd rant over :P

I wouldn't let her go.... Being separate from her would be to difficult to live...

Spend your free time to get in shape and when she'll come back she will not want to leave again!
Or she'll want to leave so when she comes back next time, he's in even a much better shape

That does remind me of my days in a student house in the Netherlands...

"boom boom boom"

"J, shut that crap hard style off - your techno really sucks"

"What?"

"TURN THE VOLUME OF YOUR MUSIC DOWN!"

"But...but... but I am not listening to music, this is a WW2 computer game..."

Well there is only one position suitable for white people anyways, I believe it is position # 36. Something about lowering the woman onto the inflexible whitie. Surely you can spend your time building such a contraption.

Either the pre-built one from digitec or one custom built by a smaller shop.

I could save about 500 bucks by assembling it myself, but just don't feel up to it. Am assessing optimal compromise by maybe asking dude to just do motherboard, case, and cpu, but he might not be willing now that he knows the full rig i want. Other components obvioulsy easy to plop in.

get a puppy or two, that will keep you busy, I promise.
This exactly.

Over the years, my husband and I have had to live apart a few times - it's certainly do-able. At the moment he is hesitant to take another such assignment, though, as he knows that when he gets back he is likely to find his space on the sofa has been requisitioned by another wobbly old collie.

Re: What would you do if your wife plans to leave you...

My wife left me for some few weeks on vacations which is a true relief

Had she left for few months I would have asked for the latest PS3 console and container of booze

One way or the other the show must go on...

My advice is play with a couple of puppies. Highly recommended.

Warm front, etc.

Re: What would you do if your wife plans to leave you...

Im sorry..if you were my man...I would leave your tush too!

Whats the point in being together if you are not together?

Then again, I read through some threads and saw a hint that you were not happy in the first place.

This is different....you two would have to think about if the JOB is the reason or if you should split anyway.

Find a contract, or take a holiday in the same part of the world of course.
