Best place to buy Kids Winter Jacket - BASEL?

My son grown up and his previous year's winter jacket is too small. Now we need to buy a new one. The places we know in Basel to buy jackets are Manor, H&M, C&A only. Not aware whether any other places do exist for Kids winter Jacket, which could be a cheap and best deal than the places I knew.

Could you please suggest if you know anything here? Thanks in advance.

If you don't mind buying used clothes go to any Kinderkleiderbörse. Cheap and good, as children don't completely wear out seasonal clothes.

I find Tschibo always has great quality clothes for kids. Or if you prefer to shop online, have a look at www.laredoute.ch

He always says "We can have second hand items, whatever it is... but not for our son"

Hi Myth

Can I ask what size you are looking for, I am just about to advertise a boys brand new NO FEAR winter jacket on EF but if age and colour suits you, you may be interested?

Cheers Glenda

Re: Best place to buy Kids Winter Jacket - BASEL?

Glenda, thanks for the offer. My son is 3.5 years old and his shirt size is 92... but we are planning to get the next size jacket.

But as I said, I am not sure whether my husband accepts to buy a second hand jacket (if you are talking about second hand one). Need to talk to him in the evening after his office hours.

Hi Myth

The jacket I have would most certainly be too big anyway, it is for an 11yr old, it is brand new with all labels and even tissue attached to zips, my mum brought it as a gift for my son but it is too small.

I will go take photos and post on EF for sale board now. Good luck with your hunt for a jacket for your son, if it helps (maybe too far) I think 30mins on train from Basel is Schönenwerd they have a large Sports Factory Outlet often you can pick up a great bargain.

Re: Best place to buy Kids Winter Jacket - BASEL?

Last year i bought one from C&A. It was nice and warm but the outer shell got ripped very easily. And it was around 70 francs. The one I got from Lidl in Germany seems to be a comparable quality. Not too fancy but quite warm and comfortable. They have nice thermo trousers for 5 euro and nice full sleeve shirts for 3 Euro. My son is exaclty the same age as you so I can understand what you want

Just get there. Find a jacket that does not look used. My husband does not like used stuff either, but if I find and buy a piece that does not look used, what does he care..!?

Otherwise: Athleticum or decathlon are kinda cheap, and look out for the Aldi and Lidl advertisements, as they sell good quality. Cross the border to an outlet shop and you might even find a brand jacket at good price..
