Seems a few well pecked-up fellas are desperate to show off their fitness regime.
It isn't a substitute for a personality fellas, no need to keep going on about it.

And fitness-conscious men can be terribly dull, combined with a sense of self-importance. Some of my, erm, playfriends look like they've escaped a Men's Health shoot and while it's fun to fondle someone like that, I wouldn't want them as partners. A man who will not eat the breakfast I serve him in bed because it might ruin his six-pack is NOT the man for me. Protein shakes at dawn? Blegh.

it's interesting, the discussion is fed with the extreme examples which in most cases, all find equally undersirable.
it's all those little independant cases which make it facinating. I'm turned off by anyone who goes to the gym regardless of their physique.

What I do though when it's all over is simple, I work it off in my gym at home & a week of shagging (if conditions permit).

After a certain age, keeping a six-pack is WAR. So anyone over forty who still has one is either very lucky in the gene department or is working his behind off for it. While I appreciate the effort, it doesn't give a guy the right to suggest I should go to the gym too. So in the name of peace and harmony, I prefer a pudgy bellied but still fit guy who doesn't think I need to look better because he somehow deserves it. Although, to be fair, I generally end up with athletic guys anyway and am just a bit embarrassed at not having their stamina, which does get me in the gym - but not because they said so.

If people want to lose weight, they should eat less and move more. That's it. | | | | | I didn't mean talking about diets, more attitude. It seems to be the treatment you always suggest, eat less, move more, as if it was the ultimate recipe for all. But it ain't, right? Sometimes people eat little, move a lot, still have a spare tire. That's all I was saying, and they shouldn't feel ashamed for it, why, if the tire is not huge, some people do not mind their partner with one at all, in fact find it quite appealing. It almost adds positively to the personality since a guy who can pull off a little belly confidently is hot.
I completely agree with fitness regime not being an substitute of personality or life, for that matter, that's what my posts were exactly about...the fitness obsession, in fact irk me, it's pretty obvious, isn't it, hahaha.

Blokes my age wear their Ned's with pride. Its taken a lot of hard work and serious investment to get them to the state they are in. Has the added benefit of lowering the centre of gravity for skiing, along with a very useful storage function for energy for when civilization finally breaks down. Accumulated belly button fluff arising consequentally can also be used to knit yourself handy wollen garments for the fierce swiss winters....the ladies know this is a sure sign of a prosperous and stout mate, and flock like bees to golden syrup.

I really encourage any sport activity... If you want to live a normal life without any stress...even have some junk food from time to time, the only thing to do is a little bit of sport...
Otherwise:

Really depends on what you mean by a "little bit of sport". People generally overestimate the calories burned by sport and under-estimate the calories eaten. So they go to the gym, run a few km and do a couple of biceps curls...and then have a huge sandwich and protein shake afterwards, as they have deserved it and hey, it's healthy, right?

I was talking about something different: When you are below the ideal weight you will have easily as many health problems as when you are above. And many men with six packs are quite underweight.
